    Fraps is actually taking 1-2 fps.
    Try gaming without it and using the built-in benchmarking tool.

    WHAT?!!!

    I downloaded the latest RivaTuner and it looks like that my current clocks are:

    383 Core
    767 SHader
    301 Memory

    These are WAY low correct?

    Playing Crysis with these settings are getting the temps up to 76.

    What should I do?

    No.

    I guess it changes when you fire up a game?

    How do I monitor that?

    I enabled the monitoring of the clock speeds using Rivatuner and it showed them not changing while playing Crysis.

    Im also getting pretty sad FPS in the game.

    17-20FPS using 1680x1050 on High settings.

    Gah.

    Just looking around I noticed that, somehow, my SLI option had turned off.

    Not sure how it happened but I plugged it back in and I'm now getting between 30-35 in Crysis.

    Yeah Crysis is updated all the way and I'm using 175.75 drivers.

    3DMark06 is showing 12727.

    I guess that's in line with what I should be getting, right?

    I am sure this has been discussed here... so sorry if I'm repeating.
    What temps do you normally get your 8800GTX while gaming?
    I have a M15x and my temps are floating around 87C while on full load (e.g. crysis)

    Damn... 65-70 is what I have on iddle. When the GPU being used, goes straight to 87C and stays there. I hope that won't damage the Graphic card... What do you reckon?

    @milcs, don`t worry.
    You`re in the safe limits. 90+C would be a big problem,but it`s been rumoured that the 8th series can withstand pretty impressive max temps,the 8600M GT DDR3 can go to 110C according to Asus.
    It`s above the boiling point,but still.
    Use the guide in my sig to lower your temps.

    Thanks for the info guys. It does worry me a bit... but well... We will see how it goes. Once it did go to 107C (even if it was completely iddle... The fans just didnt kick in and it continued to warm up and warm up and warm up).

    Thanks for the guide as well.

    I'm sure you have, but you might check to see if there's been an update for your firmware that would affect the fans - it might be included with an update for the KBC firmware.

    The AW are working on better BIOSes that make the fans kick in faster and stronger.
    31,32, I don`t know the version.
    Just check with your AW representative to get the latest one.
    As I said,raise the back of the laptop a bit, and consider getting a notebook cooler,since summer is on the way,preferably a Zalman NC2000.

    I contacted a vendor regarding updating my 79500 sli laptop. They indicated that I should email their service department, which I did. After waiting for an RMA number for two days, I contacted Sager Computers. Ty is awesome.

    My Laptop was from Targa Computers. It seemed to me that I would be charged as a non-Sager Branded Laptop. The S/N has "SC" in it, and they indicated that I would save $200, as it is a Sager Branded.

    They had it for a total of 5 business days. I am really impressed. And again I have to say that Ty at Sager did one heck of a job!

    Some test numbers for D901C owners on the fence. Sager upgraded Laptop run with the existing X6800 and then new E8400 installed by me. Prior to upgrade, my best at 3DMark06 was 10008, with 7950 SLI. WPrime run in single core to show FSB effect.

    D901C X6800 cpu Wprime 32m [56.734] 1024m [1810.734]
    Desktop E6700 oc @ 3.4 WPrime 32m [51.343] 1024m [1622.218]
    D901C E8400 cpu WPrime 32m [50.844] 1024m [1624.312]

    D901C X6800 PcMark05 -> 6984 E8400 -> 7155
    X6800 3DMark06 -> 12823 E8400 -> 13636

    No oc GPU info available as I haven't found a means to get ocing to work as yet....

    I really can't think of anything that I can complain about with them. Fast, friendly, great turnaround and they ruled that I should save money. My only regret is that I didn't buy from them directly in the first place. I believe in supporting good service, even if it costs a bit more...

    Will the new 9000 series card be better than the 8 ?
    cos when the 8600 came out, they said the 9750 was still better
    so was wondering... :)

    Obviously, the 7950 (not 9750) was a high-end card, while the 8600 was only mid-range

    If you compare the 8800 to the 9600, it MIGHT be that the 8800 gives better performance, but if you put the 8800 against the 9800, the 9800 WILL give the 8800 a run for its money :p (unless something went awfully wrong at nVidia HQ)
