My Eurocom Sky X9 will be up for sale if you're interested. I will post it in the sales sub-forum soon once I receive my new P870DM3

It has a 6700K/16GB RAM/GeForce GTX 980 (desktop class) (more details soon). Oh, and it has the latest Intel 8265 which supports MIMO NOT the older 8260

Yeah, we should have 6850K in our laptops. Would be a nice experience :D
I don't do much different than you I think :D Follow bro @Phoenix guide, your tweaks in that guide for WinCrap X. Use Autoruns.Exe, use OO Shutup, kill all bloat from Clevo and don't let the Redmond Morons screw up my setup. You two have probably a more clean/streamlined Win install than what I have :p

I am sure Papusan disables every service, task, process, and even maybe he terminates explorer.exe before running his benches

Maybe I as well should turn off my machine before bench? But yeah. I don't like bloat on my machine, regardless of benching or not :D

So, I have betrayed the laptop and will have my desktop up and running in a week or so... I still need to read the past 30-40 pages, but... Haven't purchased the water cooling parts yet and may do an aio initially to save on costs until I can do that part right. But dual bios 980 Ti Classy, dual bios M8E, and a good 6700K should make for some fun...

Sorry for the absence, can't wait to get back to it here...

Yes, I'm glad I'm not so stupid that I fall in temptation like other and buy a new Thin slim Apple similar AW17 with the very powerful 6700K  Sorry, I meant Hq :D These new AW beasts aka BGA machines are reserved for Mr. Azor's fanbase. And not for an ordinary old man like me, LOL

To be fair, I didn't have the joy I had when I received my first Alienware machine which was an Alienware 18, the packaging, padded black foam in the box, the high quality chassis. It's very sad what Alienware has become. Loved the brand so much back in the day.

I still have the last normal, decent 17 inches laptop from Mr. Azor and Dellienware. You know the laptop models with socket hardware, right before he killed the former known performance brand? And yeah, I don't use flashing lights. I disabled the gaming boy feature once I had the machine in my house!! :D

Could be for the early 2015 AW machines with the famous flimsy 180w psu in bench with cpu + 980m in use :D Fully throttle mess :p yeah, lights will draw some powa from that weak psu and decrease the bench score!!

Lights are very bad for pro work with digital image design, they can offset the color point reference.

Similarly, lights are bad for watching a movie (They create a false light around the video, breaking the immersion) and lights are bad for using the machine officially for doing a business presentation..

It's hard to say in that each test requires different settings. Some more voltage while others not so much. And a lot of side monitoring to see if you are current limit bound.
Although I keep running into cpu issues with 3dmark11 where i can bench 4.9+, but it's not optimal. The test stutters in the first 2 seconds throwing off the whole bench mark run. Very disconcerting when everything else works fine.

I can run in windows at 5 ghz with no problems either.

    Thanks a lot!

I hope that our work will bring happiness to everyone who plays our games :D

About numbers of OC, it seems that there is no real way of OC'ing mine over 4.2 within good temps, so I'll drop the idea of tring, and I'll repaste my CPU with IC Diamon (This is the best besides Luqid, no?)

Even with the latest CCC from Clevo site, fans spin up randomly, for example when opening Yahoo mail page, or at windows start, they spin to almost full blast, temps show no icrease that would require this... Neither does CPU usage... Makes me wonder what does it detect to spin the fans faster in those moments?

i can also recommend TM5 warmly for memory testing! based on personal experience, this tool uncovers about 95% or more of potential errors that pop up in an overnight run of memtest86+. so it happens only rarely that i get additional errors in memtest :)

just for the sake of giving proper credit where credit is due, here the original source of this tool (its a russian developer): http://testmem.tz.ru/testmem5.htm

direct download link for latest version 0.10a: http://testmem.tz.ru/tm5.rar

Well, I talked to both of you about the same thing in here, but the answers were kind of confusing. :D Then I found out that you ( @iunlock ) were on ignore, so that explained allot back then.

Then I did it again today with your score because I felt it needed to be on that page. @Phoenix said you were still on ignore till just a little while ago.

    Sorry for the confusion. :)

I would gladly replaced Norway aka rain and sleet with warmer climate and an AC bench. And an AC unit is anyway preferred for benching(cold air directly into the machine is always better). I can nevertheless not be out in the cold due to my damaged lungs. Only 37-40% lung capacity allows you to not make many pranks :(

Greed can be scary. You skip saving and sometimes afterwards get worse score, LOL

It's always a blast to race together around the track...often times there's more of a thrill to catch the lead cars draft than to stay in the lead...
