Why download and save this junk on your machine? And even install and use the bloat afterwards? :D

    See ↑↑↑ :D

Btw. Now it's finally activity on http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/core_i7_7700k/ :)

For those of you that want to change the lighting and not have CCC. Make a restore point (just incase) install CCC, change to your desired config then simply uninstall CCC again. The lights should still stay.

I don't have Cinebench (nor time to play), but it'll probably do that on stock voltage...or as John would say "it's really just sitting there"... ;)

Never have I seen something so broken as CCC...

The lights did not stay and now they are blue without the possibility to turn them off, which would have been my intention and default for the lights... maybe I'll find a thing to force them off or write a little thing myself...

I uninstalled the control center for the first time an played BF1 for a while. The fans seem to run fine. Temps were the same as they were in overclock mode and the fans ramped up about the same. I saw someone say if you leave the lights a color before you uninstall they will stay the same color is this the same with the fan tables? In other words if you had the fan table set to overclock mode does it stay in the same mode when control center is uninstalled or are the fans actually working properly like they should have in automatic mode?

Managed a 3rd place score of Fire Strike for 6700K / 1x GTX 1080 @ 18,947! :D I'm behind @Johnksss@iBUYPOWER & @dspboys according to the search feature... And managed it with the cancer EC 1.05.06! I'm guessing many of the hardcore overclockers are running SLI, so I'm probably just lucky they haven't disabled a GPU & ran the numbers through the roof...

I can't wait for Prema BIOS/EC! Or in the interim to either downgrade to 1.05.04, or upgrade to the 1.05.08G. Any of them should help a lot according to everyone's findings, it definitely was hard to manage that score with the cancer EC throttling...

I do have a support request out to HIDevolution to get the 1.05.08G update, hopefully it won't take too long. Took HOURS of tweaking to get the highest possible GPU/CPU clocks with the least amount of throttle

    And like that, poof!

Lights are blue, impossible to turn off, fans on automatic instead of overclock profile. Only reinstalled CCC, nothing else, same windows install.

EDIT: Even runs R15 4.9Ghz with -50mV undervolted...

I will load your 1.05.06, but i think it is something else in your case. I will test that theory first before posting the answer because i could be wrong. But looking at your score has me wondering...

It's an MP version. Heat in general is an issue here as it's 30c in Winter and 45c in Summer, so don't take my results as a guideline on that...

Did you run CB R15 with 4.9GHz all over, or only on core? And I haven't asked about the score and max temp :D

I set all cores as well as the cache to 4.9Ghz, but it would temp throttle half-way through. Score was some 10xx IIRC...

I don't know what results should look like on R15 (and how much using a 7200/HDD, messed up W10 test installation and downclocked RAM alters results :p ), but just ran on 4.5Ghz on all cores and cache and it it scored 962CB (which I think was without thermal throttle) so there you have something more accurate to compare to...

955 in CB R15 is all to low for 4.5GHz on all cores with a working OS without to much bloat running in the background.

Check out my hwbot.org scores with 5.1/4.8 for the 6700K for a desktop comparison with no throttling to get an idea (although my ram is faster than these laptops have), or run 4.8ghz and compare to @Papusan scores.

I know. With a working OS X without mess you should expect +1000 in CB R15 and 4.5GHz.
    I run 1001 with 4.5GHz all over.

Also remember some have suggested clock for clock that kaby lake is worse than skylake, but it clocks higher with less voltage.

Then I would definitely not fit in there.

That was the top and bottom. 4 identical runs.
So that is to say we are no where near your 1001 at the moment.

Would love to get a 2nd hand opinion on it! I was running MSI Afterburner in the background with the OSD showing the temps & limit reasons during the Fire Strike runs... And voltage and/or power popped up regularly. And even temps popped up several times even though the GPU/CPU temps never even exceeded 80*C, I'm guessing that's vBIOS related though. I had my GPU frequency/voltage curve set to max at 2070, although it would only occasionally bump 2063. But it did in general stay over 2000MHz.

The only way this was possible was by undervolting the GPU though the MSI Afterburner freq/voltage curve editor. I was guessing this was due to the EC throttling limitation when both GPU/CPU was loaded because CPU would clock down a lot more if I had the "stock" voltage for the GPU. And the GPU would constantly clock down with the stock voltages.

Looks like 7700K is prime for a delid according to this report, up to 30*C reduction!
