Yeah, I think you're right.
There are indications that it may not be Skylake ready (CPU seen as "unknown" in the main menu) and some of the tests that supposedly failed seem to be looking for stock values rather than my overclocked values. I think some of the tests are not available in the menu since it does not seem to recognize the 6700K CPU.
Code:Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz No processor-specific test exists! Menu entries will only include generic tests that apply to all processors.

-
Well, maybe try it on your smaller beast with a supported cpu. Unfortunately, the data on the errors might not be as helpful for skylake as hoped at the moment, but any bit of information could always help for newer firmware versions...

I tried it on Cazador and it didn't seem to tell me anything more than it did on Alienkiller.ajc9988 likes this.

So, what errors arose, if any? I haven't use the program yet, just found it couple weeks ago but was in the middle of a project so couldn't try it.

Same with both computers... "Unknown" processor shown in main menu.

Looking mighty good there, buddy.

Hell yeah. Specially considering that it's at 4.5ghz right now.
Thanks again!
Will give this a shot with higher clocks later this weekend!Johnksss, Spartan@HIDevolution, Papusan and 1 other person like this. -
Update on my 770dm:
So its still in the shop after 6 long weeks! Oh how i regret opening and delidding the da*n thing! This email was received on the 4th of july.
"While installing there was a problem, one of the screws was mislabelled and was put in the wrong slot (a long screw was used for a short screw slot). As a result of putting the long screw in the short shot, there is a bulge on the palm rest (was created by the long screw) that is noticeable. I understand this is our fault and due to this we will order a new palm rest for you free of charge. Clevo has already informed us that we will get it by Friday or Saturday. I do apologize for this, I am terribly sorry about this mishap.
Thank you"
I had a feeling this was gonna happen @woodzstack thats why i contacted you around the 4th week of the repair and asked you for some quotations. I had doubts of their competence but there is a silver lining to their mistake(i guess?) They owned up to the mistake and is replacing the damage part instead of sending me the system back and pretending it was like that when i turned it over(this might not be much to some of you but you need to understand that the consumer laws in the Philippines are really shi**y to say the least)That said, the local clevo/sager reseller, Helix Philippines got my utmost respect as i expected nothing but the best service since i will be shelling out a pretty penny to get everything up and running again and they "might"(its not yet done and i hope i did not jinx anything) just meet my high expectations. Will definitely get my next sager from them to support them!

Next time, be super careful while de-lidding! Or just get one of the de lid tools. EZPZ. Dont babyrage

Been so depressed lately and maybe its sepanx from my system. I tried to cure the tech itch by getting a s7 edge to replace my iphone 6s+ and it was all for not. Sorry for the baby rage. Maybe i should just own a turdbook.

Dont worry bruh, everyone makes mistakes. I have made some really bad ones as well. Best to learn from them and move on. Like that traitor Universe. 2EZ4RTZ tho.
Trust me you dont want to own a turdbook.Last edited: Jul 6, 2016 -
Who knows maybe it will be for my own good. Anyways sorry for the mini babyrage had to vent in a place where people would get me and maybe someone can empthatize with me.. go go eg hope they win ti!

Tough break man
I know it's annoying when something like that happens. When my Titan-X died that was not a nice feeling.

Hahaha. Thanks for the emphaty and symphaty rofl. Hope i wont experience any trouble with my system in the near future.

Been waiting to get a P870 since early April and still using a 860m based Acer laptop until I manage to. This is patience being tested

Edit: but if you are going to do that, buy @Prema one first! !!

If I had more than enough money... Big YES to both of you. But you should not complain. No BGA machine in your sig
And I hope a lot of us will put in a gift for the upgrade on the machine HiD will donate Prema
-
I didn't know hid was, but I would definitely put in for that! I'm not complaining, my beast is wonderful! I'm lucky CLU got on where the ram slots connect to the mb and did not fry anything! Just reloading windows, which was what the plan was when it went down... but there is a handful on these forums that, if I could, i'd buy every new beast put out (including you @D2 Ultima )....

Been plotting to get one for over three bloody months
The main problem is that I'll have to gather more money until I can. Working as game developer, I really need it to develop faster (I'm programmer + writer + director). When debugging a game, one needs to run multiple instances of it. Which is more than most BGA + 860m machines cannot do with a good level of comfort.
This machine will work only with Prema's magic.
The funny thing is, even when having the money, Clevo might release a version based on 1080 for which I should probably wait for 2 more months from now, as games are being developed in 4k, to cover for still being relevant in the future, when 4k will be most common resolution
.
Programming a 4k game on a FHD screen is completely possible, because of 4k being FHDx4, but the hardware makes running multiple instances. . . slow?. . . -
Agree with @bloodhawk on this. Unless you have a secret love for feces you've been trying to hide from us, you don't want a turdbook. Remember, bad stuff happens to good people. Good stuff happens to bad people. And, everything in between. Once it's fixed you'll be glad you didn't lower your standards.

Multiple instances of a game running in 4k, sounds like a fun challenge
-
So i was just going through some Firestrike results on 3DMark, and for stock desktop GTX 980's the graphics score are well above 15000+ , Where as our 980 200W , barely does 14000. (This is with the core clock being within the +/-50Mhz range)
What gives? -
Then must Nvidia have optimized drivers for desktops. I have compared stock results from Guru3d earlier in http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/clevo-overclockers-lounge.788975/page-283#post-10266857
And nice overclocked can my machine with 6700k very well compete with desktops and same hardware. -
Yeah weird. Some cards score the same or lower. But the one i saw was scoring 15100 @ around 1250Mhz.Maybe a bug?
-
Like I said... I have completed my setup overclocked with desktops max overclocked with same hardware. I'm been in top 10. You will find it in this thread. I hate this phone
See the comparison between my setup and 6700k and desktop 980

And for debugging, we have to run the game into many inconvenient situations...
Well, a person needs to be able to play it on a low power laptop, like a 940m laptop, or even an ultrabook or tablet, as there will be smartphone versions... Still, running many instances is not going smooth, and does not help debug faster
For what it's worth, it's fun.
We should make a benchmark on how many instances of a 4k game we can run with our hardware before it lags heavily
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
If it has to doing all the rendering then likely not many though that may just be a vram issue even if you are light on rendering.
-
Also a fresh install Windows 7, seems to yield at least 300 points less than an unoptimized run on Windows 10 at the same clocks. Weird.

Both, graphics and over all.
I dont care about 3DM11
Just FireStrike and Skydiver.
-
Same difference in stock and OC'd? And the same tendency in the whole 3DM package?
Maybe the Redmond Morons have money in Futuremark(stocks)
-
Stock results in a bigger difference. CPU score is around 141xx vs the 155xx+ that i get in Window 10 @ 4.8Ghz.
-
Physics scores are not valued in 3DM suite. Even a low end BGA junky processor can help to provide good Total score if the graphics card work well.
-
Still, that's not the point. End if the day they do factor in. If the difference was 500 points for the physics score, sure thats not a big deal, but 1.5k+??
-
Lower your processor Clockspeed to stock and compare the total score with same high OC on graphics. Have you link to bench with Win Crap vs 7?
-
Neah didn't save it. But stock GPU clocks and cpu at 4.8ghz score was around 11630. Same clocks Windows 10 scores 11900 atleast.
-
Our new Clevo member @thegh0sts who jumped the AW train correctly has pushed probably his first bench http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9186877
-
Hmmm.... +134/+500/+12.5 and FS passes with a score. Bumping up the core to +234 = crashing. Will try +200.

A little on your technique: raise the core by 10mhz each time until crash, then up the voltage one notch. Continue until black screen occurs, then back it off. If you will be using it daily, then you need multiple stress tests to verify stability under all circumstances.
