LOL at 4.2ghz, 1961mhz core and 5.2ghz vram.
These arent high clocks for 1080 or 6700k. Now if the GPU was a titan XP, maybe.jaybee83, temp00876, ajc9988 and 1 other person like this. -

In case it wasn't obvious, best joke I've seen all night!
I saw a review that while overclocked, it reached 9.5 in Cinebench R11.5

Yeah, but that 40 gbps TB3 is Totally Awesome! LOL
Don't have redstone....Last edited by a moderator: Sep 2, 2016 -
saved, all hail @Prema and his glorious mods, he stopped the throttling everything is fine now and i'm rocking the x42 multi while gaming, will then slowly go up again to x45 and will do some firestrike benchies when i have more spare time, have to level my alts to 100 fast with invasions while it lasts
-
Yeah
. I'm glad this is fixed now. You should be happy you were not stuck with an ACER, ASUS, GIGABYTE, AW, eMACHINE or other brands Turdbook's. No one would have saved/helped you with firmware mods, LOL

With old 3dm I get 14192 physics @ 4.5.
Now with new 3dm I get 13950 physics @ 4.5.
I think you have the old 3dm which doesnt include the new time spy.ajc9988 likes this. -
Hmm, seems like i haven't updated it. But as turns out its a 3DM issues and not Windows
Sweet! he cook up a custom EC for you ?
If you can , thank him here as well -

No. He use UI Version 2.1.2852 64 Who is also crippled by Futuremark!!Last edited: Aug 28, 2016ajc9988 likes this.

I haven't tested all tests in 3DM suite. But as I recall... When running 3DM before bench starting and also with loading the different tests in Firestrike... I mean the latest UI version with bugs, Use a bit more wattage (I see it on my Kill-A-Watt - not much but I can see it). Aka use unnecessary processor cycles. You can try testing the older 3DM UI versions before 02.01.2852 64 vs the new one. Monitor with your Ups. Sorry for my crippled answer. I post from my mini phone
That sucks

Not gonna lie, that physics looks low even for just the program... This was mine from a couple months back, same multiplier, 4790K:
I need to run it again soon and finally install the new Nvidia driver...
BTW, Here's one of my best 3D11 physics on a 4790K: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/11282326

Why is that?

I did realize that, actually. Plus I know you just got your machine and are getting it setup, firmware isn't yet optimized, ad nauseam... I'm just giving **** is all! Lol! I know it will kick the **** out of mine after everything is said and done, but wanted to joke with the only time I'll be able to say it!!!

If you don't believe me, check out Mr. Fox's 3D11 physics scores in the OP. Got about 1,000 on you in each single and SLI. I know you've got this and cannot wait to see the optimized scores...Johnksss likes this.

You know...I was seriously trying to help you understand this my friend, but it seems to be slipping by at the moment.
1: This part is important. Windows 7 is better at physics than windows 10. If you had listen to what @Mr. Fox has been saying all along then we would not even be having this little discussion.
2: What do you think would happen if I decided to load windows 7 64 pro? That my physics scores are going to go lower? Nope. They will go far higher than what they are now.
So I hope this clears things up.
PS:
Still on stock Bios and Stock Vbios.
Edit: Your grade went from a B to a C.

My point was that customized firmware does wonders on these machines... I didn't realize his scores were win 7 (should have looked closer), but am clearing off a spare harddrive to install my alpha build of win 10 to do a physics run to see what it gets...
So I'll own my asininery on the Windows version (really too large of an oversight for me not to be given ****), but hopefully my **** talking will continue later!

Yep, that I did.
Yes, I talked to the headmaster and he said it might be indefinitely closed.
Ah just the man I needed to hear from...What is that link to the gpu database you were talking about? So I can add mine to it. Thanks.ajc9988 likes this. -
The headmaster may just not be yet aware of what the school sponsor has planned for him...
GPU database? Huh? All current Mobile Pascal IDs have been added by Futuremark...Last edited: Aug 28, 2016jaybee83, i_pk_pjers_i and ajc9988 like this. -

Just below 13,500 is the normal physics score in 3DM11 with ok firmware and [email protected] GHz (single Graphis + Win Crap X). The Redstone update doesen't made the big difference. The Redmond Morons actually managed not to destroy the CPU performance with the big update... Was surprised that they did not made the cpu performance worse than previous Build, LOL
And yeah, Win 7 will give about +6-700 higher physics, than the new modern Crippled Pastel Colored OS from the Redmond Morons
Johnksss, Prema, ajc9988 and 1 other person like this. -
Right now, I'm just in the 11500 range in Win 10 pro, which is still good for a [email protected]
By my count, Win crap cut 1,250 out of my score, abouts...Last edited by a moderator: Sep 2, 2016Papusan likes this. -
I was very kind to the Redmond Morons when I said only 6-700P in lower physics with their new colored Tile trash. Tragic that M $ could not improve and only aggravate the physics in 3DM11
There is only one way now... Downhill!! New features from Redmond. Is more like... More and more Telemetry, + more and more unnecessary processes who will run in the background. The future is very DARK.Last edited: Aug 28, 2016CaerCadarn, hmscott and ajc9988 like this. -
Futuremark download has now been down for nearly 24 hours... Maybe there are even more problems with their 3DM UI after their new benc Time Spy were pushed out all too quickly(was premature)? The reason... Because the Greens and M$ wanted to show DX12 and new better performance?
LOL

Well I've got a new bench I've done to add here and update the OP... Just want to give it one more run, on AC this time, to see if I can get the actual gold...

I will at some point... I could only get to 34.204s without AC, but didn't explore how far I could go with AC this morning... But since we started the back and forth, we've shaved like 15 seconds off the top score... That's impressive!
-
I was doing the same at first, but hit a wall at +493core/+660vram/1.2V (I still have the cap) @72C... I haven't added VRM yet either, something I'll do at some point before passing this card to my dad (after I figure out how to get a 1070 to work in this ZM)...

You need more voltage. 1.275

GTX 1080 SLi on liquid metal temps?

Still a little warm, but with auto fans only 60%, seams somewhat reasonable (don't know what cfm they push at that rate). Delidded yet?

72C Cap?
We'll be in your corner rooting for the 1070 Success!
Yeah, my 980M's stay way cool too, but I think he was talking about 1080's if I'm not mistaken?
Why would I delid? There is no need for that in my case. No need for silicon lottery cpu either. I'm sure they just grabbed one off the shelf and threw it in.
. Pretty sure I can do this with any 6700k I get, but what my problem is is figuring out what is slowing down the cpu. Then I'll be in business.
Nah, not yet.Intel is a bit smarter than that.
That was that auto fans from clevo for ya. [email protected] ghz And fans still never went 100 percent. 7 of 8 cores @100C which breaks down to tcase being 85CLast edited: Aug 30, 2016ajc9988 likes this. -
1.2V cap... Without that voltage cap, I can have some fun!
As for the 1070, thanks for the support.
On the CPU, that's a damn nice voltage for off the shelf. I've seen many users not get those voltages on off the shelf and saw a couple with similar voltages for $400-$600 or so on hwbot.org the other day. Regardless of getting binned or not, delidding can help drop temps (then again, as you said, not needed in your case)... As for the slow down, is it throttling? The original DM had an issue in the EC, I believe, that was part of the cause of some throttling (been awhile). @Prema , @Mr. Fox , and others in the p870DM lounge would remember that issue better than I, if it is the same issue...
Edit: also, the warm I was talking is the cpu. I was thinking like papusan that those temps are fine for 1080 SLI.

What is your highest clock for 3dmark11 or 3dmark? GPUPI is not a gpu heavy bench, thus allowing for a much higher over clock.
Not throttling it's an os/driver thing.
And i think they learnt a thing or two from "reverse engineering" @Prema 's bios. lol. Shhhhhhhhh,
but you didn't hear that from me.
