So guys, just to give an update.
I ended up putting a Xeon E5-2687W v2 on my EUROCOM Panther 5D.
The 4960X did not work at all, I think you are right on the voltage but I have no clue how to do it.
It has now all the latest tech I could upgrade, RAM still only 32GB. It says in CPU-Z that is running 666,5 MHz, but it is strange has they are: 4 x HX321LS11IB2K2/8 8GB (4GB 512M x 64-Bit x 2 pcs.) DDR3L-2133 CL11 204-Pin SODIMM Kit.
On the nvidia 980M Sli, they did not work.
I tried to flash the BIOS to version 84.04.22.00.12, from Clevo. This is what they told me would work with the machine. The BIOS on them was 84.04.5F.00.12.
They still beep 4 times then laptop off....
Now, I know the Xeon is not overclockable, but I would love to have a better BIOS.
I would even retry the 4960X back and would also for sure install the nvidias 980M. I see those Prema mods make miracles.
I contacted Prema on Twiter, on his forum... all over... no reply.
Does anyone of you has a BIOS for the P570WM?

Probably an xmp profile for the ram.

 

I think you should replace the 1600MHZ memory, and p570wm only supports DDR3 2133 16G（Quad-Channel） or DDR3 1600 32G four channels（Quad-Channel）
if you use ddr3 1866/2133 32g memory, there is a high probability that it cannot be turned on or blue screen

Now my questions for you, if you do not mind helping me:
a) are those RAM timings ok for the speed of the modules? If not what is wrong?
b) where the hell did you buy your Killer 1675 - cannot find anywhere...
c) why a Xeon E5-2687W v2 at 150 watts work, but a i7-4960X does not: it boots to windows, then laptop stops with BSOD after a while;
d) Xeon mas turbo is 4.0 GHz... why it caps at 3.6GHz?
e) Where can I buy a screen like yours with 300Hz and 3ms?
f) Do you know where could I buy a new palmrest (full top case as mine is very scratched, even if working 100%)?
g) and the most important... can you help me on the BIOS/EC? Seems using another is the only way I could use the pair of 980M in Sli I have but cannot make to work.

One other topic, keyboard is 100% new... but keys *, 9, 6, 3, ., -, + and Enter in the numpad do not work.
EUROCOM Told me to flash to EC 1.2.05 but that forces me back to the i7-3970X...
I cannot figure this at all.

I never used xtu... would have no clue on what to do!
That is why I feel I am missing something. I know this is old tech, but I promised I would end this project!

EUROCOM can only sell parts (and only same) which I already did... in terms of support they do not have the people from 2014 around anymore...

A，DDR3 1866/2133 32G memory is suitable for E5-26XXv1/v2. By default, the frequency will be reduced to 1333mhz.
B，taobao、aliexpress、ebay，u can buy 1675 or AX210（setup inf）
C，there is a problem with the p570wm memory controller. Unless you manually lock the frequency to 1333/1600, there will be a problem, which may be related to XMP or JEDEC. For example, when using 4960x, it will automatically overclock to 1866, but p570wm cannot run stably at 32G 1866/2133, so BSOD appears
D，you can use XTU or lock the frequency to 4.0GHZ under BIOS，2687wv2 single core can be overclocked to 4.0GHZ, full core running at 3.6GHZ
E，B173HAN05.0，FHD 240HZ 丨B173HAN05.1，FHD 300HZ 丨 B173HAN05.2，FHD 360HZ
F，maybe you can buy it on eurocom.com, or buy it from other users
G，no, I don’t have a clue. I use prema mod BIOS and official 1.03.03EC, and I haven’t encountered similar problems.

 

according to your existing memory model, it is recommended that you lock the memory frequency to 1600mhz 9-9-10-26

 

BIOS needs to be unlocked to get more functions, including but not limited to CPU OC, MEM OC, MEM LOCK, CPU power consumption limit, you can contact prema to get unlocked bios

First of all thank you so much for your answers. You were amazing.
I will dig on the screen - even if I bought one from EUROCOM that should be arriving.
They have no Top Cases now, and say the touchpad area where we "walk" our finger is on the full top palmrest case.

I did not get very much the issue with the 4960X and RAM, but maybe will try to use less RAM and see if the laptop stays stable. The CPU is fine and works ok in other PCs.

On the BIOS, well... you cannot imagine on how many different ways I tried to contact @Prema ... no success... I have no clue what happened, but all forums down, all off to speak with him. Guess something crazy but have no idea. So I cannot do anything on the RAM, the 980M sli and the keyboard issue... plus EUROCOM I feel has now new people not knowledgeable with EOL systems.

On your Killer wi-fi ax1675x... I can find the 1650 (based on AX200) but not the 1675 based on AX210. The non Killer just generic ones based on AX210 I can.
Mind pinpointing me to the page?

Quick one: the UEFI disabled on BIOS has consequences?

 

you can keep it stable by locking the memory frequency at 1600mhz. If you have not unlocked the bios, you can try to use less memory or replace the normal 1600mhz memory

as for the 980m sli, I am a single card user, so I can’t provide more help

you can buy AX200 or AX210 and disguise it as AX1650/AX1675 by modifying inf. At least in China, you can spend less money by modifying inf

It means you are using the basic AHCI setup instead. It means little to most people.

 

@Meaker@Sager iirc the higher end CPU (octa/quad or dual socket) xeons work on single socket, do you know if unlocked bios support past dual xeons in 570wm (ie. E5 4000 and 8200)?

 

Yeah I think I remember chips like the E5-2697 V2 working but I don't remember about anything beyond that.

 

Send me PM tomorrow and I will send you unlocked bios by myself. There is few things unlocked that can hurt yours laptop so use on your own responsibility. Not sure what you changing don't do this.
When made problem you can reflash bios chip.

On eurocom site you got last official bios and ec. Try firstly this.

 

My phone reminded me I got my P570WM a bit over 8 years ago today!

 

Much like the P570WM, I'm still rocking the X7200, though barely. Needs GPUs replaced. But still, I got it 10+ years ago and it's been hands down the best system I've ever had.

SLI is super picky about cards matching, you need vbios to match exactly.

 

I also send him vbios. So, it should be easy. Possible problem is some newer Win 10.

 

Newer versions of windows causing issues with SLI?

 

Already tried have the bios 1.03.06 and latest ec tried the 1060 and 980 it only comes up as display adapter and when I mod the drivers install failed, then I take off signature verification still failed. In the end gave up no Prema bios no upgradability might as well sell and that is what I decided to do in the end. A great machine really wanted it to work, but in the end wasn't meant to be.

No, didn't know about that, but to be fair the 1060 was from aetina and the 980 was the desktop variant. I used the 980 desktop variant because I have heard of other people achieving this. The laptop is revision 2.2 but it doesn't say if A or anything. It has an edp connector and a 120 Hz screen but nothing when I tried to boot it in treid to boot it in the master slot it came up black screen with the 980 and when I tried to boot with the 1060 aetina it booted but dim screen.

 

Clean install lets you mod in the driver as you install it, it's a handy tool.

 

Okay yeah tried it but I tried to flash the bios of the 1060 from aetina to MSI and that didn't work also made the mistake of not backing up the bios so it became a mess, and the 980 seems to be damaged. So I was out of luck. I ordered a 1070 gtx that I found very cheap not for parts to see what happens if this fails I give up, because I can see the revision however it doesn't show if a or what? It just shows 2.2 which I know 2.1 can't upgrade but I also heard there is a 2.2 that has the same issue even with edp. So last shot in the dark. Thanks for letting me know about the tool though really handy to have.

 

Just realized that I tried to boot a desktop 980 with a single 330 watt charger wasn't doing the math which is why the card never booted

 

The card should boot, the system would just hard reset on 3d load.

 

Okay will try again too see but it just gave a black screen when I tried and I have a xeon 1680 V2 don't know if that affects anything.

 

So long as the Xeon works in other configs it should be fine. Usually the 980 desktop cards had a power tab for aux power input they require to work.
