Try uninstalling Xfi and Realtek, then any audio drivers in device manager. Install audio drivers from XMG as admin, then install Xfi as admin.
If the problem still persists, then I'd say it's a bad connection somewhere.

Uninstalled realtek and installed it again from clevo site and still the same. I think it's because of some settings but I haven't discovered it yet :/

The whole thing, rathr than just the realtek drivers. It may be that you have the port set as a microphone?

realtek audio manager ask me what I connected and I select headphones, so I think the port setting is OK. I will try to uninstall anything audio related as you said and reinstall them. If that doesn't help It's either format and reinstall windows or it's because of some other settings

Try downloading the drivers and software from XMG's website rather than the one's supplied on the disk.

I really don't think it can be a hardware based problem.

Come to think of it, it happened before for me briefly but on another computer.

I suppose you're right, it doesn't seem like a hardware issue. Maybe reinstall Chrome?

I'd start with updating Chrome, then check plugins and related software. Then reinstall if it persists.

I am currently learning about XTU and was wondering if anyone has tried increasing the Processor current limit which is unlocked with the Prema Mod. I am wondering if I should first buy a more powerful psu before increasing this.

I've tried increasing it. Doesn't seem to get rid of the current throttling, even with it set to 100mA. I have th estock 180w PSU though.

I have the exact same problem! Haven't had any time to investigate it.

Please let me know if you solve it. I hope it's not a hardware-failure.

    Hi,
I would like to set the undervolting in the Prema-Mod-BIOS but couldn't find where to do that. Can someone give me a hint please ?

    You can't do that.

Just do it with the latest version of XTU, you won't need to boot XTU each time you'll want to undervolt, it'll do it on the background. So it's not really different from a Bios UV.

Do you have the brushed finish (this seems to the more common one), or the matte bead-blasted finish (my XMG has this)?

Does anyone know if there are alternative ways to wrap the P650SE?

It seems that Metabox does it, but at $424 AUD, that's a giant rip off.. and XOTIC is asking for $199 USD.

That's super expensive compared to wraps for normal laptops and MacBooks.

Does current throttling occur generally or during a stress or benchmarking?

My current throttling disappears generally and during stress testing if the 4core multiplier is underclocked to 33x so that might be an option for you? The processor undervolts by -85 dynamic with no issues. I need to find out what current limit setting is safe with the 180w psu, if the gpu is under full load? I need a watt gauge...

I read that some people undervolt the cache, but also read a comment that it isn't good for the processor, does anyone know where this stems from?

Both finishes tend to pickup fingerprints and dust, but it doesn't bother me too much. The matte bead blasted finish is lovely.

It's a bit of an upgrade for me as it partly replaces my 7 year old Dell 1720 :D

With my past tests, larger PSU did not help with current throttling. It is most probably on BIOS level that we cant edit as of now.

I noticed the same issue on my new 8650. I assume a simple screen wipe will remove oil/sweat marks, both I wonder if there is a method of prevention?

Is there a big difference between the Sager 8652s from Xoticpc and the Mythlogic 1614 with 980m?

Spec'd out they look similar but not sure if the build quality between the two is different or if one is better than the other.

I've set it for 1000A and it took away my current throttling :) One day I had a black-out where the machine just restarted itself so I reset all the settings and no problems anymore. Got 180W too.

You don't need to go overboard with the setting, 150-170 amps will be enough.

lol, officially nothing works. I tried any audio driver I could find and none of them could make the regular headphone jack work. Still, only the digital out is working and the sound out of that isn't nearly as good as the regular headphone jack. :(

That is a lot higher than I imagined. I thought 90-110 would be the max with the 180w psu? Does anyone definitely know or have a kill-a-watt meter to test the draw?

Probably, though I'd like to avoid reaching a point where either the psu or laptop shuts itself off as xink64 said, so I'd like to find out the max draw of the processor and gpu's, so as to judge what current limit the psu can handle. When it comes to undervolting and making alterations to xtu I'd be very methodical.

Does anyone know whether you can/should undervolt the cache? I read somewhere that you shouldn't but can't for the life of me remember.

Does anybody here have experience with the 1080p IPS Panel on the P650SG? I'm looking at getting it, but I'm worried that it might ghost some due to a possibly high response time? Thanks to anyone for the help.
