There should be an earlier error during the install to give you a clue.

So now all fixed? Strange that it did not work with clean install.

I was going to suggest installing 362.00, then Nvidia driver, 365.10 and upgrading to the latest from there.

I had 359.14 from Clevo installed previously, then uninstalled and used DDU to remove it completely, then installed the newest driver.

If this happens in the future you can point device manager at the "Display.Driver" folder and it will install from there.

I have seen nvidia cards get assigned the wrong subsystem id, but that was caused by flashing the wrong BIOS (I.e flashed P750ZM-G to P750ZM by accident)

There is an option as you open the installer, it's not needed if you are ok now and can cause it's own issues.

Use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely clear remnants of the old driver.

You can do that if you get an odd issue like the OP, but not every time.

Only had my new p753DM-GS for a few days and already some of the function keys do not work and I cannot launch the Flexikey or Control Center applications. I don't care so much about the LEDs but I do want to be able to enter airplane mode and use the webcam. Restart did nothing. Not happy. :-(

    These function keys do work:
    Disable touch pad
    Turn off monitor
    mute
    Volume up/down
    (Have not tried switch display)
    Display brightness
    Enter sleep mode

These function keys do not work:
    Turn on webcam
    Enter Airplane mode
    Enter flexikey
NONE of the LED function combos do anything.
    Enter Control Center

    Hi Meaker,

No. They sent me a dvd with the drivers but there is no dvd player in the laptop so I have to make an image with the old computer first.

So the Control Center would fix the LEDs too or just the other stuff? Is it Control Center that launches FlexiKey, because FlexiKey won't even launch.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I uninstalled control center and then downloaded it from the Clevo site. Now I have this strange error. WTF? I see data2.cab is in the zip file but it is not in the extracted folder. WinRAR says the checksum failed and that the file is corrupt. I re-downloaded it twice with the same results.

Now what?? Can someone else give me this file?

Great! I guess I have to contact Pro-star. Now that I have uninstalled control center my fan runs all the time.

UPDATE: It looks like this has been discussed here before. The mirror provided in that link worked for my laptop. So all is well on that front.

I seem to be having a minor issue with my P770DM-G.

When I first purchased the machine i had an overclock fan profile which has since disappeared. I have tried reinstalling the control center many times but the option has not returned.
How can I restore this fan profile?

If your system does not have a Prema BIOS (ie. bought from one of the Prema partners), then the only way to get the overclocking fan profile is to install XTU

Metabox (Aus retailer) isn't partnered sadly :(

    But I figured it out.

In the hotkey folder there is a file called mtlanguage.ini
If you go in to security settings and allow modification of the file and then under en-us add FAN_O=OVERCLOCK the overclock profile will be restored.

Also you can modify the oem.ini file by changing the SupportGPUOC value to 1 which will add a GPU OC app in the control center as the string suggests.

Restarting after these changes of course. I feel like a noob for posting before but I guess this may help someone.

The newest hotkey driver on clevo site is corrupt. The data2 file wont extract. Hopefully a vendor can alert them of this so they can fix it.

Hey folks. I've been (trying) to play some games lately (Overwatch) and suddenly my laptop is crashing after about 5 minutes of gameplay. First the display blanks out (external monitor), followed by a number of USB disconnection sounds, and after about 5 seconds, the computer powers down, with a flashing "charge" LED and a repeating loud beep.

My first assumption is overheating. The internals are completely clean of dust, and the laptop is elevated, fans manually at maximum, and game set to its lowest settings so as not to stress the GPU. HW Monitor logs nothing above 80C on the CPU side, and 75C on the GPU side.

Next I figured it was the display driver (i have a 980m), so I did a clean uninstall and then installed 362.00. Issue still exists.

I'm stumped, and bummed. Any troubleshooting suggestions?

UPDATE: I think this is related specifically to Overwatch. I've been running 3DMark's Firestrike Extreme on loop for the better part of the last hour, not a single hitch.

Go get the latest driver, at least 368.22, as 362 isn't made for Overwatch.

Thanks, I was running 368.22 prior and had this issue. Downgraded to 362.00 thinking it was a driver issue, don't believe it was.

I've noticed a Kernel-Power event (ID#41) associated with the crash. More detailed post here:

    http://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/topic/20745134641#1

Long story short, I think this is Overwatch-only. Just ran Firestrike Extreme on loop for an hour with no issues.

Clevo just pushed some driver updates in official site.
For some reasons, the data2.cab in new Control.zip is still corrupt.

Edit: But installer says the only corrupted file is dotnetfx4.exe, so the error can be safely ignored.

New version of Control center still conflicts with Logitech Game Software (8.79+). Virtural 7.1 with Logitech headphones is still broken.

I've noticed that the pcspecialist drivers for my laptop don't seem to get updated very often. Is it safe to use the drivers from Clevo themselves or should I just wait?

    Thanks

    Use Clevo driver.
There is no vendor-specific driver, and driver update is usually safe.

The main one to get is your video drivers from Intel/Nvidia, otherwise the rest are usually left as is.

P750DM good to go with CPU OC + GPU OC with single 330W or no?

    100w cpu
    125w gpu
Rest of system is 50w maybe?

I think @Mr. Fox push 300W with his little CLEVO monster in bench. You don't push 300W in gaming or similar task in normal use even with a nice OC. I self have push my single 330w psu up to 410w in bench with OC'd 6700K+980. 330w is more than enough for the setup you asked about even with Oc ;)

    Nice, ok.

With slight CPU undervolt the 330w should suffice, and now we wait for Pascal cards.

Ugh, Turns out this is a system-wide issue as I had originally feared.. it just happened while I was playing Kerbal Space Program. interesting that I can run a 3d benchmark suite for hours with no issue, but the failure seems to happen when gaming. I wonder if that USB socket shorting out or something crazy like that?

Anyway, I'll be opening a ticket with customer service but wanted to see if anyone else had encountered a similar issue and could suggest some troubleshooting steps.
