If Windows 10 cannot see it then there is something wrong and nothing I can do to help install it on Windows 7.

    @Eggs Scrambled
Please do an NVRAM reset and don't touch any setting and try to install Windows 10 then tell us if the setup can see the drive

Just reset NVRAM, no dice. Still doesn't show up in Windows 10 uefi/no-csm

edit: and I just realized this was the wrong thread since I have a P750ZM not P750DM which is the main problem

    Hi all,
I was wondering if somebody with stock vbios for a 980m u706 p771dm-g could possibly tell me what version it is please. Would like to check something on mine.

    Hey guys,

    I'm planning on purchasing a 750DM-G with a 4K panel.

I would like to hear other peoples experience with this panel, from what I know, it's either the Samsung for G-Sync or a Sharp panel. One reseller told me that it was IGZO, is this for all the sharp panels or is it a different one?

How do you find your 4k panel on the 15" screen?

    Thanks :)

I would speak to the retailer you intend to get the machine from as they define the panel used.

If it's an IZGO panel you will have the retailer shouting about it. It's a VERY nice display.

Just wait a bit.. The refreshes will be out soon so prices will drop and there will be chances to get new stuff.. Don't want to be stuck with old gen GPU :D

The Sharp IGZO panel isn't G-Sync certified from what I know. I was under the impression that only the Samsung PLS panel was.

Definitely worth sticking it out for the refresh though, there's some new 17" 120hz panels so hopefully we see something similar for the P750 refresh.

Might even see ACTUAL 75hz+ 15" panels. 60hz panels on the 15" laptops is a bit of a let down.

I strictly need a 15" tho. As you can see from my sig below, I won't primarily use it for gaming so g-sync doesn't bother me. I just thought the 4K IGZO would be really nice for multimedia.

4k display at these sizes are good for multimedia for sure. The best panels i have seen though are the AUO ones, im just not sure if there is a 15" one.

But as suggested earlier, you should wait a bit, because some very good refreshes are coming out soon.

From what I've heard it will be some time in mid September. But the 4K 120Hz screens will only become available in late November, early December.

just delid my CPU, 10 °C difference sounds about right? Got from core max 86 °C to 75 °C which seems ok for me but i hoped for at least 20 °C :p. Used as little thermal grizzly conductonaut as possible, but spilled a bit too much at first cause that damn tube had so much compressed air inside and i very slowly pushed and pushed then SPLAT everything over my Mainboard :D, cleaned it up well so no issues here.

Is anyone else having issues with the panel on their P75xDM? I'm having what I can best describe as backlight bleed banding, developing across the screen horizontally. About at the height that would translate to the lip below the keyboard, when the lid is closed. Also, a few "blotches" of backlight bleed are forming, looking similar to Rorschach blots.

Started off small and isolated, but now is pretty prevalent. Not too noticeable on light backgrounds/applications, until I'm watching a movie or any media where the background image is dark.

I'm considering sending in the laptop as I have other issues that need to be corrected. Just wondering if this is something that is common.

Edit: For background, I have the model with g-sync active. Which from the intel I've gathered should be the Samsung PLS panel? 4K. The display originally wasn't as bad with backlight bleeding as was the common complaint when I got the device close to release. There is one corner where it looks like the screw holding the panel in place is a little too tight, but that was it.

It's not normal, it could either be the panel or the mount having issues.

@Gabryelle this is the expected behavior. BIOS doesn't "show it" but whatever OS you install will see and happily use it.

anybody know where i can get the control center version that still has the overclock function in fans? i remember when i first got my system it had that option. now in the latest drivers aka .050 in the end, it is nowhere to be found. I found that malibal still has the version in their site but the download is not starting. I have it in a cd but its crazy if i buy an external cd drive just to be able to get that version in my system. many thanks!

    Hello community

    I have a Clevo P771DM-G, with a I7 6700K, and a GTX 980M, is it possible that the 1080M or 1070M or 1060M, fit on this machine?

    Thank you in advance

    We have no idea yet.

Chances are something will fit, perhaps maybe not the largest card due to space constraints.

    Nothing concrete to say tho.

Worst case scenario, we can just take advantage of external GPU set-ups in the future and still make use of a desktop 1080 at home.
I do most of my gaming at home on a external monitor anyway, won't be too much hassle to connect laptop to eGPU.

However, I really hope the mobile versions of the cards can fit our laptop!

Since nothing has been released yet on any type of new GPUs, this is about the best way to sum it out. In my experience, even when new items come out, it might be hard to find upgrades right away at launch, since a lot of the stock is set aside to be integrated in to systems. So the answer might not be there right away when products are announced.

Well once the NDA has ended, I am sure a reseller could chime in regarding compatibility.

My understanding is that there already a few resellers who know exactly what can go where ;)

Entirely possible. I was just speaking from experience that the GPU upgrade kits in the past haven't always been available right away, and may take some searching or a bit of waiting.

You could ask a local computer store, to see if they have them. Otherwise, I know a good amount of resellers might just mail some out if you ask. Maybe check in with the seller you got your computer from.
