    Guys,
I have seen another 751tm1 with 1060, but the gpu does not pass 75W. What could be the issue? I do not think it has something about the gpu or the laptop. It could be EC or BIOS? The card btw has 100W vbios on it...
    thx!

Tested with capped Cpu clock speed to see if the graphics power consumption will take benefits of it?

Is the power connector for the 1060 mxm module connected? 75W sounds as if it's only running of the pci-e power (75w)

Hmm, is GPU Performance Scaling set to Enabled in the Bios? Is Windows powerplan set to Maximum performance? In nVidia control panel, is power management set to maximum performance as well as other power settings?

Worth checking out the vbios on the card too, is it the right version that you thought for sure?

Reminds me when I tried a 780m card with modded dsanke BIOS, card would be limited to P8 state or something like that.
Are you P states behaving normally?

That uses the same 40 pin connector as 4k panels if that's the route you want to take.

Its the same story like with the motherboard. The delays are huge here locally. And i want them right away. Eurocom came back with some insane prices for these cheap parts, i would probably get an extra motherboard or 64gb of ram with those prices. lol.

Eurocom offers crazy prices... once i wanted a new heatsink for my f5, finally i ordered from canada (to eu) and it was one third alll in compring to eurocom. I do not really get this pricing modell but i have leart the lesson.

Sure for the majority 9mm drives will be fine.

But, we are in a niche market here anyhow - and with a desktop replacement sometimes plenty of disc space is a huge bonus. A 15mm slot would enable say a 2tb Firecuda + 4tb standard HDD (+ any M4s etc), thus cutting out the need for external discs. For my video editing machine this would be a massive plus as a 1tb fills in no time with 4k edits (and 4tb SSDs are still priced round the price of the machine itself whereas a 4tb hdd costs next to nothing)

I believe a segment of the market would be happy if a laptop offered it (obviously bigger segments would prefer other things, but then they also have a grander choice in the market :) )

Recently I upgraded my laptop from a 1060 to the 1080, and had to do an .inf mod for it to work. But for some reason, I can't get g-sync to show up in nvida controlpanel (it worked on the 1060).
Does anyone know why this is, or got a suggestion on how to fix it?
    Thanks :)

Honestly, didn't know that they were made where G-Sync don't work. I bought the card from a guy on ebay, who had it listed as G-Sync enabled but I'm not sure if that's the case. Any way for me to check?

Yo, I did a similar upgrade, 1070 to 1080. I also had to do a INF mod as well and lost G-SYNC in the process. I am on Prema mod. I'm also unsure what (if anything) can be done to get it to work. Maybe a SSDT/DSDT patch is needed?

Again the card does need to be a G-Sync card, it would need physical changes.

    Hi everyone,

I need some advices from you.
I updated my router, I got an Asus Blue Cave (AC 2600) to connect my NAS and computers together. My NAS is connected by wire (Cat6), and computers by wifi.
One is a Clevo W230 with an Intel N7260. The other a P751DM2 with an Intel AC8265.
But I reached a slow 80Mbits in 2.4Ghz mode and also in 5Ghz and it's not stable with the AC8265 from my P751. The Intel N7260 from my W230 reached 260Mbits in 2.4Ghz and it's more stable. Acrylic Wifi found a top speed of 600Mbits (2.4Ghz) and 1733Mbits (5ghz).

    Newest drivers on each computers.

Do I need to do some settings on my wifi cards?

    Thanks

Antennas were well plugged. I unplugged and replugged them. I reach 110Mbits in 2.4Ghz and 250 in 5Ghz. My W230 still reach 250/280Mbits in 2.4Ghz.

is there a way to check the antennas rather than undo the bezel and have a look inside?

Not physically no, newer cards are going to be more focused on 5Ghz and the antennae will be tuned for that which could be one factor.

My problem is that my 5Ghz speed is very slow on my P751 as it can't reach 867 Mbits (at least 400/500Mbits could be fine). I switched the antennas but nothing better.
I don't think this is a router issue, I check it and 5Ghz is well active, set on 1733Mbits speed.

If I plug by wire my laptop it can reach 1Gbits with my NAS. But for some reasons I can't be plugged but wire where I use the laptop, only in my living room.

Does the wifi card can be faulty?

    Hi,

Need advice. For same price i could get a 8260/65, 9260/65 (intel and killer), AX200 (Intel and Killer). It's oldnew items.

Mainly to connect my computer to an AC network (and check if it's my current wifi card or my antennas my issue).
Is AX (killer 1650 or intel 200) a good choice? Or a AC (killer 1550 or Intel 82/92)?

Forget the killer. Only gives problems with crap drivers.

Go directly for the ax200. I got the Intel 9620 first and after 2 months got a ax router, so had to go for the ax200 afterwards. The ax200 is day and night difference from 9620 one. Way faster and better signal capting

    Thx for your answer ;).

Last question AX200 or 201? Looks like the same except system interface.
[edit]. Stupid question. This is not the same key (E instead of A).
