I thought that AC8265 could reach enough for me, but not.
Not enough to use it with a NAS, as small as it is.
Or maybe the card is really faulty.

Maybe there was an issue with one of the channels on the card?

My 8265 has been pretty solid, I get around 250-350Mb above and one room across from the router.

I just got my hands on a p750dm3-g, currently there is a 8600k and 1060 6Gb gpu in it. Over time I see myself upgrading it some and/or use a egpu.

And therefore I have some questions I hope someone is willing to answer ;)

    - Is there a unlocked bios out there I csn flash?
    - Will it support 9series cpu with stock bios? I'm concidering a 9700k
    - what is the fastest supported gpu?
    - I'm thinking about using a egpu at home, is there any performance differences between the brands of enclosures? What enclosure should I go for/stay away from?

    Answering in order:
    - yes there is a unlocked bios and you can grab it from this topic:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...clevo-laptops-rtx-cards-now-supported.825558/
-it does support all 9 generation cpus up to 9900KF
    - it comes with RTX support too so you can buy a RTX 2080 (but you need heatsink for it too and there are kits available on ebay)
-eGpu isn't worth it and Clevo never fully supported it, plus you will be crippled in performance so consider buying a RTX 2080 instead

Thank you so much for your reply! :)

I forgot to mention it, but at home it will be connected to external monitor.
Idk. If that changes anything regarding a egpu.

No but like I said. The eGpu has crippled performance and its not fully supported by Clevo. I doubt it is at all..

Forget about it and buy a RTX 2080 instead

    Hello there,

I have a peculiar case with an older P751DM2-G (Origin Eon 15-X) running Prema Mod BIOS where I get the BIOS reset message on every cold boot, with suggestions to replace the CMOS battery.
I've used this machine since 2017, never replaced the CMOS battery.
How long does a CMOS battery typically last?

2-10 år. Depends on the quality. The CMOS battery in my Clevo P870 is 5 year. + I have machines near 10 years old with still functioning battery.

If it's ok on an external monitor it is a cable/panel issue.

P775DM3G, the screen is an LG LP173WF4-SPF1 75Hz with G-Sync and the bios v1.07.27 Modified by dsanke.

Get a panel that matches with the ones in the BIOS (from the TM models I believe) or ask for a custom bios.

I have expected this answer :)
The 1.07.27 is a 775TM1's bios. That machine was never assembled with the LP173WF4 screen, hence you loose gsync. Try the 1.05.XX version, I think it is a DM3 bios, in which the 8/9 microcode is injected. Hopefully you get back gsync. If not, you need to replace the screen. A 144hz IPS screen with 40pin cable (your is 30pin) is 100EUR, so it is quite affordable. You need AUO B173HAN03.1 screen (exact type!). On ebay I know a good seller all-in 100EUR EU shipping.

I am getting fixed display to metabox its cost me 400$ to get qhd or fhd screen
Repair and replacement and they check my laptop to log in windows to see the display works and testing everything and repaste CPU and gpu everything too and temperatures check too before to return.

Don't get 3080 on this laptop model get a desktop it's cheaper and I check metabox website is U get 10 core from 10gen and U get 8core 11gen there no 10 core anymore check metabox website with this model and U CPU wattage throttle and gpu wattage throttle they change lower wattage.
Metabox talk to my brother it's not worth to upgrade even my old CPU because of new CPU and GPU is wattage limit.
Keep old CPU U and GTX 1080 laptop still can play all emulation even lost oddssey perfect on xenia. I check the price is Australia for new laptop 3080 and 11 gen is 7300$ with 4tb SSD rocket brand rip off get desktop is cheaper.
Keep the secert everyone U know the truth.
Go buy desktop with amd 5800x is better
    I finished Xenoblade 2 on ryujinx i7 6700k and GTX 1080 laptop.
I saw people play Xenoblade 2 ryujinx amd5800x is fullspeed.
My laptop is fixed I get it next week.
Australia price is worse because of tax and laptop is expensive in the shop and metabox is cheaper.
    Look at websites. https://www.metabox.com.au/store/b332/Metabox-Prime-X-X170KM-G-Laptop

@Asbel1 Of course desktops are cheaper. This is a desktop replacement laptop - It's a portable workstation. You can't beat the energy density, and you can't build a desktop with this power which can fit in a backpack as easily. Most of these laptops are "money is not a consideration" when absolute performance and portability is the requirement.

Have you got another power supply you could borrow? The laptop draws much less power on battery so that's not conclusive.

Hi! I have a P775DM3-G from Origin, and I'm getting some VRAM errors according to OCCT. This is after I started seeing some artifacting in 3D applications and other apps that use my GPU. I'm thinking of either upgrading to an RTX 2080 or replacing the 1080 for another one. Reading through the thread, it sounds like getting the 2080 installed might not be as straightforward as I'm thinking it could be. Besides the card itself, what else is needed? I saw a heatsink kit mentioned but I didn't see any on ebay for the P775DM3-G. Would buying a heatsink for a P775TM1-G with a 2080 be enough? If it changes anything, I have a G-Sync 120hz 1440p screen.

Heatsink and system BIOS update to go with the card. There are no official heatsinks for your system specifically because it was never released on it.

An update on this. I ended up buying just a 1080 replacement, upgrade kits weren't available and I don't feel super capable. New card works great, just as good as the last one. One problem I'm running into though: CPU is now heating up a lot for some reason, reaching 100 Celsius. It used to be stable-ish under extended load around 95. I thought maybe undervolting would help, but I'm still seeing huge temps in a lot of situations. I replaced the pads for the GPU that are attached to the heatsink, and I'm wondering if them being newer pads is causing the CPU to have less contact with the heatsink and therefore heating up more? I hope not, but I'm not sure what else to try. I repasted it with Thermal Grizzly to be sure, still seeing the huge temps. It did get noticeably warmer here not too long ago, so maybe the ambient temperature increase is just making me notice a problem that already existed but I just wasn't aware of. Any suggestions about how to troubleshoot would be nice. Thanks!

If the pads are off it will impact contact.

Hey, I'm on 9600K is it worth getting 9900K? Just need more cores and threads for more VM's. P775DM3 is still working fine otherwise.

If you need the cores/threads then yes but just be aware it can get very power hungry.

It's more the cooling than the PSU. Tweaking voltages certainly can help. Getting a good sample will help a lot too.

Indeed, you will hit the thermal barrier way before even maxing out one of the power bricks. 9900K runs quite hot stock, but there are ways to tame it.
