True, the only times I have actually installed it was for this reason. Easy pz solution.

I own Fraps. I made the mistake of buying it a long time ago. It works nice for benching games to capture min/max/avg FPS, but it sucks for video recording. It causes a massive hit on performance. Shadowplay does not, so I can video capture benchmarks with only a minor reduction in FPS. The MSI Afterburner capture with the nvapi plug-in works about the same as Shadowplay, but I don't like MSI Afterburner. Since it lacks MXM voltage control, it's worthless to me.

    1) Which driver version are you running and are you running the latest version of GFE it just got updated a few days ago.

I never noticed the battery boost cancer but I will double check soon.

    2) You have a desktop replacement taptop it is not meant to run on battery for any serious work or gaming , think of the battery as a backup in case power goes off and for watching YouTube videos in cafés, this will save you from burning any calories on this. The laptop barely has enough juice with a single PSU, let alone a poor battery.

362.00 seems to be the best overall for overclocking.

Just checked after a reboot, battery boost is still off.

When does it turn on by itself did you notice?

    Running GeForce Experience v2.11.3.5

No, I cannot identify why it re-enables itself, but it was only doing it under Windows 10. Probably just a driver installation glitch. I will DDU and reinstall without GFE.

I used to have trouble with G-STINK re-enabling itself all of the time under Windows 10 as well, but that problem seems to have fixed itself.

    And, thank you kind Brother.

Let me see if it goes away after I DDU and reinstall the drivers. It might be a corrupted GFE installation. I once had a similar thing with NVIDIA Control Panel, where none of my settings would stick after clicking apply and doing that fixed the issue.

    And, yes... GeForce Experience v2.11.3.5

I'm reverting back to 362... I just can't buy overwatch until the new drivers are actually decent. Latest ones are poop. Even toning down my OCs I'm still getting game crashes. For shame.

Using 364.51 for about a month now. Also using Phoenix's 4.5GHz OC settings. No problems whatsoever with anything. Also played Overwatch open beta this past weekend.

It has nothing to do with CPU OC it's all gpu. It cripples overclocking the GPUs pretty bad. 362 is definitely the best so far. I don't need overwatch that bad :)

no, rains fines. There is a speed radar every 2 kms literally, you forget and go above the speed limit and baam, $200 to $800 USD fine depending on how much you were exceeding the speed limit with.

It does not rain money in Dubai, it is the most expensive city to live in the world with the lowest salaries. All people see on the TV is the classy sports cars and think people would just wake up and find a car or bag of money under their bed. Not the case.

Heat in dubai is more bearable, you are not far from a public place that has aircon no matter where you go. In india that is not the case unless you ask a lunatic rick saw driver to to take you some place thats the only time you get too feel a breeze in most places there.

Does anyone here know of an adapter that would convert the usb type-c/tb 3.0 port from the p870dm to a thunderbolt 2.0 port? I have a spare Apple Thunderbolt Display and I wanted to see if I can get it to work with the P870DM.

So the 4k panel actually doesn't eat that much battery. Been sitting at the airport for about 30 mins now and i still have this much left.

Balanced Power Profile with Max Processor Speed @ 50% and Min Processor Speed at 5%. This is pretty good for getting those 2-3 hours worth of crunch typing while travelling. And for longer waits most places do have power plugs.

That's not bad for a desktop cpu and desktop gpu lol. My 40 lbs UPS would only last 30 mins for my real desktop and a little less able to be carried around with me ;)

Do you have a stock 4k gsync display or is it something you swapped out yourself?

I ask because I would like to know two things, is 2560x1440 a standard choice in your resolutions or can you at least add it manually? I've had troubles adding in between resolutions before but maybe that was more driver related back then. Also can you overclock it at 1080, 1440 or 2160? I would guess either very little or none at all but just wondering.

It's not a standard choice, but you can add it manually in the Nvidia CP. Currently on 362.04 drivers. Unfortunately, you can't OC the panel, since it's still driving the full number of pixels even if only a fraction of the data is being sent. FWIW though, it doesn't look too bad even though it's not a fraction of native.

Also, in case anybody was wondering, I got my Vive on Friday, and my 980Ms are doing just fine driving it with a very mild OC (+150/200).

I installed it myself. And yeah that resolution is in the list by default.
I was able to OC by 3 full HZ xD
The panel that the sellers provide is exactly the same.

Odd because I remember mine doing it automatically... if it was an actual setting, that would be news.

Usually if it says "Charged, 100%", the machine should no longer be charging.

Hey guys Nvidia dropped 365.19 driver on Friday.. for all those who have yet to try it.. so far it seems like I am still getting some crashing on OCing... but I have not tested very much yet. However.. one thing very noticeable is performance. In WoW for example.. I picked up about 5-7fps with my OC on 362.00. With the new driver and stock gpu settings I am getting the same FPS as I was while OCed before. Seems it's a more polished driver for game performance.. just not certain on the OC side.
