Ps. If someone from europe will be interested to buy almost new gtx 980m g-sync for Clevo (maybe want upgrade from 970m or for 980m sli upgrade) let me know on PW

If BF4, GTA V, Mad Max or R6 are dos games then yes :) In GTA V never have more than 66, in R6 after couple of hours is around 70, all games set to very high / ultra graphic

    Here U have my 19fps :)

This is after 1h in GTA V, on screen U have moment with 98% gpu usage, U can see all clock, mem and rest

    Also monitor gpu after play.

Since my setup is g-sync most my games are 70-75 fps locked because of 75hz of refresh

Ps. photo taken with my phone while playing

U mean cpu clocks? GTA don't use it cpu in 100%, my 6700k is @4.3Ghz with UV but not so much games using cpu 100% all the time, still even in bench with 4.3Ghz I've got max 75 on cores

I'm so used to reading the stated GDDR5x as 1250mhz I thought your core was a lot higher :p Either way that's a sweet experience you are getting.

Oh gotta luv you bruhs! Lets clarifcate some misundstandilizations. I asked for heavy graphicalness games like The Division. Here's what broforce Mo&Ma quoted: BF4, GTA V, Mad Max or R6. Some notes:

    1. GTA V: a cpu intensive game developed for the PS-triple (playstation 3). Lol. Not a GPU killer!

    2. BF4: not heavy graphicsness bruh, this be debut PS-quad game fo sho. My P870DM demolishes this game no prob. and

    2. The coup de gras: R6. As in like Rainbow 6 Siege? :) LOL I rock that game all day long. Not heavy on graphicalness. In fact, I keep my system (CPU and GPU) on optimal power and not extreme power and
2.a. Run at like 100+ FPS (frames per second) on Ultra Mega Max Graphicalness.
    2.b. GPU stays < 60C and
c.3. CPU literally runs on 1500 megalhertz or less on all cores. thats right. Fift. Een. Hundert. Megalhertz.

Try some extreme like The Division and get back to me, but here's an update for you bros. I lock frames at 60 FPS (frames per second) but set mega max graphical ness and did this overclock:

    1. GPU +100 megalhertz
    2. GPU RAMories: +250 megalherts.

And what! max temp dropped by 7C to 73C, hanging mostly at 69C ==> can you bros explanate that effect to me?

The Asic score aka quality on the graphics chips determine the voltage the chips get

Medium - low. But higher Asic score means lower stock voltage.

Even graphics with lower - medium Asic score can be good overclockers. No reason you can RMA your graphics due the chips quality. As long it's not a faulty card.

    Dear Brahs:

I owe you an apology about my flippant '19 fps' comment. I decided to take your advice and look into my cooling Heres what I found (it will amaze you):

    1. remove back cover
    2. remove battery
    3. remove fans
    (pause for shock) :-O

I discovered that my P870DM is evolving into some kinda mammal! It was growing dark grey fur in the radation fan ribs by the fans! holy crap!

So I gave it a haircut tonight and guess what! Temps drop 8C !!! no lie!

Now I game in extreme graphicalness with these settings:

+100 GPU core OC, so running 1328 megalhertz.
+280 GPU mem OC, so running effective 7580 megalhertz.

One hour of The Divisions extreme gaming at 60 fps and my temp only hits 70C!

You brah's saved my P870DMs life! I am in your debt!

The machine is easy to service so you can do that every 6 months and not worry it will take hours. A can of compressed air could help even more.

Can you start with grabbing a ruler (or better, callipers) and precisely measuring your 1070's width, edge to edge, where the tab is.

Or, have you got a photo of the motherboard on which you can overlay the photo of the 1070 as you did to compare the 980dt / 1070?

i do know i have to cut the internal frame between the GPU and RAM / battery. the only problem is the tab overlaps and how much can i shave. :p

it's only a matter of money and a dremel!

Like, because you stuck to normal English for almost a whole post

P870DM cooling is capable of great temps. Clogged radiator, thermal paste dried up, and bad heatsink contact with the die, are the things to check in that order. Fans are easy to check with max fans Fn+1, all 3 rad exhausts should have air coming out

The tab overlap is exactly what I want to know.

Since shaving even half a mm may be too much and I'm not in the habit of making $1000 paperweights :)

you'd think there would be enough of a gap between the edge of the of the PCB and the etched track that < 1mm wouldn't do much at all.

it is this gap that is the key!

EDIT: with the money i could be blowing in getting the Gen 1 to do SLI i may as well get a new laptop....and probably better i did. i may as well wait it out till the GTX 11 series is available.

Can anyone who got their's through Mythlogic, tell me what version Prema colab bios they've got? I've reached out to them & I'm not sure I can trust them to look.

Also, still battling with random loss of keyboard & mouse usability. Mouse still moves, but doesn't click. Can ctrl+alt+del on keyboard, but not much else. For some reason Esc will also open the start menu in Windows. Only a restart will temporarily resolve the issue.

Ya I'm running 2 950 pros, 2 2TB 5400 RPM HDDs & Win10 Pro. Love the speed of the Pros.

Yes the ports don't matter. I've tried switching them up too. Laptop keyboard, external desktop keyboard & mouse all always suffer.

Also... I have this feeling that League of Legends is somehow the trigger.

No I don't have clevo control installed so fans profiles are streight from bios I think. It was advice from nbr good guys :) Im very happy of the temps and noise right now.

But U can use CC profiles, auto will be less noise and higher temps, oc will be more db and lower temps

i clone my system ws 10 from crucial into samsung evo both msata with a samsung software..well couldnt change any system password, fingerprint not working anymore and random shutdown. i stop this idea..tried 5days ago.

about carbon fiber, there is 3 type, 2d 3d and 4d, with each of them you have specific color or even chameleon. i did it in my old alienware 17 r1. u have to use a hairheater to make it fix as the structure will be softer then adherate easier. i will not do it anymore prefer painting job but if well done, it look very nice.

Is there any way to control the lid & keyboard light without CCC installed?

Are changes made to the EC? And kept after the software is uninstalled?

Do the registry keys do anything without the software?

The best profile seems to be the "Overclock" profile. Any way to get the EC doing this by default without the CCC installed?

The automatic profile spins up the fans soooo sloooowly and not to a high enough rpm that I am getting frequent black screen cutout crashes from something overheating (PCH? a GPU mosfet under a beaten up thermal pad?) 1-2 mins into a full on graphics game (i.e. 90%+ consumption on each GPU rather than something that hits a frame cap and sits on 50% utilisation) unless I Fn+1 it beforehand.
