The TPM firmware won't be related the BSOD, Its regarding a security vulnerability with the TPM.

Posted them here for everyone alongside other important patches:

awesome so thats the TPM fix. any idea how to get the bios? i do want to see what i can OC it to outside of what the XTU does

@Prema please help me with the Bios problem. The reseller company doesnt have chat online, their phone goes straight to voicemail they dont respond to email.. please read your Private Messages and help me with this issue. Thanks

I'm still waiting for you to add my panel to the BIOS.

That's the resellers responsibility, not Prema's. He is not paid to provide end user support.TheDantee likes this. -
Hehe. Got in contact with Prema already..
Easy to say to contact reseller.. But mine is USELESS. But i learned the hard way.. Never on online chat, phone rings once and goes to voicemail, never reply to mail... what else should I do? fly to their store? Thats disrespectful after spending 4k+ on this machine with them.. Next time, Hid Evolution for me.. -

Anyone has had issues with their keyboard that when they press a key it doesnt register and you have to press it a couple time? it happens to me everytime with letter h if so how you solve it or whats the issue?
-
Take out keyboard a replug it in?

I would physically re-seat the keyboard to make sure it's flat, a single letter will not be the cable usually so long as all the others are fine due to the matrix that's used to determine which key is pressed.

thinking of getting a TM while in Canada to replace the DM that I have....but what to do with the DM?
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Don't replace it would be my advice, no reason to unless those 6 cores are vital.

I am moving around some bigger files from time to time and as I have two 2.5" 1.75 Gig Samsung SATA drives I would like to use them as a single RAID 0 3.5 TB drive in order to improve sequential read and write speed but I would like to keep my NVME SSD as the boot drive. All my data are backed up by the way so it would not be an issue to restore them if one of the two drives fails.
So I emptied all the data from both drives and set the BIOS for SATA from AHCI to RAID which I thought would be causing the P870DM-G do its thing to turn the two SATA drives into a RAID. Not a good idea it seems as I could only boot into the windows startup options where the boot issues cannot be fixed and even going back to SATA AHCI mode only gives me a black screen now that says that no boot device could be found.
Is there an easy solution for my issue or a guide how to go about this? I have searched this thread but it seems RAID 0 always was used for system installs in all cases that I read about but I am very happy with my NVME and would like to keep my system (Windows 10 64 Bit Pro) as is. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Going from AHCI to RAID requires an OS re-install.
-
Yes (-ish*), but he's trying to use the non-OS disks in RAID.
Bios setting have to remain AHCI for this (this is only for bootable partitions), but you need to enter the RAID firmware menu in order to set the SATA drives as RAID (Ctrl+i during boot). Since you have the full backup of the drive it's then a simple matter of restoring it to the empty dual drives and expanding the partition size afterwards. Can even do this from within the OS, so there's no need for a bootable USB stick with a live partition manager.
It's actually possible to do this without the re-install. All it needs is for the Intel RAID service to start up when booting Windows ('iaStorV.sys'), but the default setting on a native non-RAID install is 'off'. Funny thing is that all three storage drivers can be activated at the same time, regardless of which one is used (value '0' = On):
So:Code:Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\msahci] "Start"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\pciide] "Start"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStorV] "Start"=dword:00000000
- Set them all to active while it's still booting AHCI (even with the RAID driver running it'll still boot from the non-RAID partition as long as bios setting remains 'AHCI').
- Next, make an image of the OS partition.
- Create a bootable USB partition manager.
- Set the two drives to RAID via the Intel firmware menu (Ctrl+i).
- Write the image to the RAID-ed disks.
- Set SATA boot type from AHCI to RAID and you're good to resume from where you left off.

Wow, thanks, I now have a RAID 0 and practically doubled my read and write rate to around 220 MB/s so there is not such a big disparity any more to my SSD drives.

Is that for raids 5400rpm hard drives? That sounds about right for those.

Due the upgraded screen? Try this.thegh0sts said: ↑ok but there was a way to get into the BIOS and reset the settings to default blind.Click to expand...
1. Remove Cmos battery. Wait a few sec and then put it in again.
2. Turn on the system and wait for 2 minutes.
3. Press Enter 3 times. The system will turn off for a little bit and then turn on again. As soon as it turns on (screen will be black so do not wait for the logo), start pressing F2. Keep on pressing for about 20-30 seconds.
4. Now Press :
- 2 x left arrow
- 1 x up arrow
- 1 x enter
- 1 x down
- 1 x enter
- 1 x up arrow
- 1 x enter
- 1 x F4

5. This time once the system reboots, the Bios Logo should appear and you should be able to go into the BIOS and change to you usual settings. -

Has anyone tried to run this laptop with no GPU? I bought a GTX 1060 from woodstacks and it comes on monday but I would like a place holder since I already have my CPU, RAM, and HDD along with the barebone

I can't get brightness control to work at all. I've added in the DWORDs into the registry, rebooted and it did not work in windows.

Really hope a MUX switch is implemented some point in the future.Mr. Fox said: ↑Exactly. There is no connection for the iGPU to have any output. This is by design.Click to expand...

The mobile higher end series will have an option for it going forward due to being able to use optimus.

Hello fellow P870DMers
I've been noticing that whenever I play The Division or FFXV under 1080p my GTX 980 is reaching temps of 92 C with max fan (Fn+1) after about 30 minutes of playtime. Should I be concerned? Note: GPU has IC Diamond applied.
I'm under the impression that most GPU should throttle at around 85 C - 90 C. My GPU appears to be running max clocks though. Must be prema goodness?
Also thinking about the P870TM1 - it would be nice to game on GTX 1080 SLI
Might be good to wait for next gen CPU + GPU though...

Upgrade the gpu to a 1070

The P870TM1 is tempting with 2x GTX 1080. Doing my best to wait for the next P870 laptop - hopefully with next gen CPU/GPU. Hoping that next gen Intel CPU will be 8 corethegh0sts said: ↑Upgrade the gpu to a 1070

I'm under the assumption that next gen high-end GPUs should have gaming performance similar to Titan V? If so, match that up with next gen 8-core CPU. I like that. Fingers crossed.thegh0sts said: ↑But get a 1070 while you wait LUL

I would open up and clean fans/heatsink grills if you not have done it lately. If you have already done it, I would re-paste. 92 C is max allowed before throttling down. Not very healthy for the graphics if running at this temp.aznxwill said: ↑Hello fellow P870DMers

vbios is separate.
