Yeah, I have stopped bothering with going past 3000mhz as the troubles past that point become nasty and intermittent.

Has anybody figured out how to make the lid LED's white?
-
Same as the keyboard LID LEDs are white on the premamod unless you use CCC to override it.
-
So I can completely get rid of the Cleve CC?
-
If you have no use for it...
-
I reinstalled the CCC recently because I noticed that my fans no longer run while gaming.
-
That's the XTU FAN bug. @Phoenix will guide you how the clean it out...Papusan and Spartan@HIDevolution like this.

1) Uninstall your current CCC then reboot
2) Perform an NVRAM Reset:
To perform a soft NVRAM Reset without having to open the laptop and remove the CMOS battery:
Hold FN + D + Power button for 5 seconds, then keep the FN + D buttons pressed and release the Power key, after 30 seconds, you should see the NVRAM reset message on your screen.
Another user also mentioned:
3) Set your BIOS options to back to what they were
4) Install Control Center AP v5.1.1.7 (AKA Hotkey Driver)
To install the Clevo Control Center without the built-in CPU/Memory Overclocking tool (which contains XTU components):
Edit the OEM.INI file in the Clevo Control Center driver's directory before you install it:
Change SupportXTUFanTable=1 to SupportXTUFanTable=0Ashtrix, almehairi13, Papusan and 4 others like this. -
So once I installed the Hotkey Driver keyboard is back to blue. I can change it to White but there is no option to change the LID LED's. If I get rid of the Hotkey drivers will the fans work as they are supposed to? -
You need a newer HotKey for KabyLake to have LID LED control. We worked with Clevo R&D and they have a fixed version in beta, which will be released soon.
If you uninstall CCC now your LID will be white and FANs will be working.Last edited: Jan 29, 2017Ashtrix, lctalley0109, Papusan and 2 others like this. -

With ccc uninstalled is the default keyboard color white like the lid?

You can still use max fans etc with CCC installed, right? Just no lid LED control?Prema likes this.

What are these? Are these something other than FN + 1 at boot? I don't know what these are

My P870DM3 is a non g-sync model (Prema BIOS if that makes a difference). Originally came with the 120Hz FHD display. I was able to upgrade it to the UHD (B173ZAN01.1) display (which looks great BTW - outstanding colors!)
Out of curiosity and to get back to 120Hz, I bought a QHD panel (B173QTN01.0) and installed that, but only get a white screen. It uses the same 40 Pin EDP cable. Only things I can think of are either a) the screen I got is a lemon or b) It doesn't work with non g-sync cards for some reason. I am sending it back and getting another one to try. Any other ideas? It is definitely booting up, just not visible.

They are fan profiles available in the Clevo Control Panel:

Sorry man, I'm making a running joke that I never use anything other than max fans when even slightly stressing the system, so fan profiles were mostly pointless to me =Dssj92, Spartan@HIDevolution, Papusan and 1 other person like this.

Brother, mosquitoes bite you through jeans in this country. They'll brave that weather.
I, on the other hand, am going to attempt getting the hell out of this place as soon as I can. TO CANADA I GO! I'll live like Papusan, walk outside into the snow and make a cup of coffee with my computer overclocked to 2500MHz core and 6GHz CPU.

Haha too funny.
I'm going to get crucified for saying this.. but I'd take a -400Mhz (but not more) hit for all year summer, but perhaps not your extreme. I can't get back to Oz soon enough.lctalley0109, Papusan and hmscott like this. -
Actually, the fans might attract a swarm of hornets.. cause that's what they sound like at Full 100% fan speed
-
Now, my country isn't as terribly awfulsauce as I make it seem. But my house is. This country is indeed extremely hot though. But you don't want to be here, trust me. Nobody that even slightly likes technology or gaming wants to be in my country. THAT is a guarantee.
And you sure about that -400MHz? Haha.TBoneSan likes this. -

CCC is no longer a option anymore, I have been back and forth with uninstalling and reinstalling but I think this time it is gone for good. Max fan noise does not bother me anymore!! Next step is to cut a whole in my desk and install a huge fan under it!! -
All you need to do is to take off the fan guards, waterproof the motherboard and shove ice cubes in to the bottom of your laptop. At full speed it will spew out snow cone materials from the back of the computer.

Question, completely unrelated to what you just said, but I'm tagging you so you get an alert, or something.
Why did you choose OriginPC for your P870DM3? You've been in and out of here for enough time now to understand Prema mod benefits and such; what prompted this specific vendor decision?
I'm not ridiculing you by any means. I simply want to know. -
My P170HM3 is from OriginPC.

Hey guys,
What would be the best setting for TOLUD in bios? -

Just leave it. -
So guys, i'm plannig a repaste with clu (cpu and gpu)but i have a few doubts...how many layers of electrical tape should i put on it to make it safe? And Also i'm using a U3 Pad wich has some inclination and that gave me the idea it could cause some leaking.
-
You only need one layer. The concern is if it splashes out and goes past the tape, or if you don't apply it correctly and it somehow gets under.
-
So just regular / standard electrical tape? Are they all the same, or is there a recommended type/brand?
-
You'll want to check that it's rated to at least 100C.
-
I just got my prema bios. Can someone point me to where I can get the initial settings for overclocking?
-

Who is your reseller? Can they guide you? -
It's hid I wasn't sure if they would go through the actual overclock process
-
I was directed back to you @Phoenix . I tried looking at your settings in the clevo over clockers lounge but the bios menus aren't the same.
