    I find the plastic holds up pretty well over time where metal is more likely to dent and flake.

    The plastic holds up fine, but I enjoyed the metal chassis on my old Alienware systems and it is the nicest feature of my Tongfang turdbook. They never dented or flaked, but I never treated them like a ragdoll.

    So long as the heatsinks are nice and big along with the fans then I am good. For a thin and light I tend to prefer a magnesium alloy.
