You mean pressing the off button and then measure how cool it gets? Genius idea. The system will never overheat.

Well, it helps when you tune for overall system performance and not just redline it constantly.

I was working remotely on a VM that was allowed 1C1T for a 2019 Server. I've seen true pain now.

There was a power i box that was handling some menial task that had 0.1 cores, you can get fractions of a core on the IBM boxes lol.

Usually if the driver fails to install it's an issue with the card.

Hi Meaker@Sager. Hope you're doing fine.

I have a problem with my NP9876. It was working just fine till couple of days ago.
Yesterday i try to turn it on, nothing happens.
Power button lights up, power LED turns to green, CPU Fans spins warm air, screen doesn't even light up, keyboa4dstays on for a minute and then restarts.

I removed the main battery and reset CMOS by holding the power button for 30 seconds, nothing.

Then removed all components (Battery, CPU, GPU, RAM, Drives, WiFi) and left it disassembled overnight. Still nothing.

I was wondering if you have any ideas.

Did you do a full nvram reset by taking out both the internal battery and the cmos battery and holding power on for 30s? If so it might be component failure, ie. cpu or graphics card.

I did try it, but it did nothing unfortunately. And if CPU or GPU failure, why wouldn't it even display anything or even power on the screen ?

This model don't have iGPU connected. Nothing will show up with a dead GPU.

Yes, I'm sure it wouldn't, but why wouldn't it even light on the Numpad or Caps lock when pressed, and enter a restart loop after 1 min. That's what's baffling me

Since it doesn't post, it likely doesn't reach the part where those parts are initialized. If you are able, try testing a different cpu or test your cpu in a different motherboard.

I ended up getting several parts from clevo-computer.com out of Germany.

They typically don't ship world-wide but the gentlemen that owns it is very cool and if you are as well and ask him for a favor & agree to pay the difference for shipping he has helped me out in the past.

They may have what you need too. Typically faster than AliExpress, prices are competitive.

And no I don't work for them, I'm not getting paid to plug. Just trying to help a brother out with another resource.

Shipping in Europe is usually pretty simple from them.

Closest I've been to Texas is Reno in Nevada so about the same distance as here to Poland.

Let me know how you get on, also if that desktop CPU could be tested in your notebook as well?

I sent the laptop to a service center, I'll ask them to switch CPUs and try if it works. Same goes for the RAM, someone told me that this also might cause the same error.

I was attempting to get a Thunderbolt monitor working but I have no USB devices plugged in and still receive that error. Even from a fresh boot.

Also this seems wrong. Why should it be reporting Unknown Controller Driver?
