It was just his assumption. I wouldn't coun't on the matte screen to show up on Sager resellers anytime soon.
Boutique brands like Mythlogic have a small but strong team, which makes them more flexible than the big players in offering special parts early.![]()

Yeah, that's my reason for getting this one instead of the P150EM too. With the price of the 15" model, I can buy this one then build a good desktop with the GPU much faster than the laptop GPU
Oh I see, guess my first matte screen will still be in a far future then

On their site for configuration now
Reflexnotebook.ca is your Source for the Sager NP6110 (Clevo W110ER) in Canada -
hmm, I'm thinking of buying an ssd for the laptop and there are currently 2 deals: Sandisk extreme 240gb for $240 or Samsung 830 128gb for $145. Which one do you think is better?
I know that their performances are not that different, but in term of power consumption, reliability and price this is a tough choice... Samsung 830 is better but Sandisk is much cheaper, lol -
i suggest going with samsung, cruicial, intel, for reliability
-
is the new 3612qm really going to be 25$ more expensive then the i7 2640m???
i mean comparing the sandy bridge upgrade for the w150er or NP6150, u can get the quad core from the an i5 dual core for like 70$-90$ extra, so why would that be any different from going to ivy bridge? -
2 questions:
1) how big is the powerbrick on this thing (a selling point for AWs). Is it going to be scaled down?
2) of the ssd's mentioned here, which one?
-
Video shows how big the brick is..

At 1:50.
10char -
thx!
dang... that thing looks pretty huge =( -
If you roll on the time and compare it to the CD it doesn't look that large to me as I don't think he played with the zoom between the two.
If this is really a size issue for you, you could get a aftermarket 90w power adapter such as this one or any other you like as so far as I know Clevo doesn't have the kind of circuitry that some of the others do that prevents the usage of non-provided adapters. -

Some people just have to exaggerate to make up for their insecurities... j/k.
Hell, give me 660m with GDDR5 and make it an NP9150 180W brick. I don't care.
-
Dang..that's a huge phone
-
.... that's what she said ...
/runs away/ -
Compared to phone it isn't THAT big...
. -
Well...to be fair the galaxy SII is friggin annoyingly huge...it's tedious to grip that thing...still flawless phone nonetheless...
-
you know, the Samsung Galaxy Note is pretty big imo, with a freaking huge 5.3" screen, lol
-
Larry@LPC-Digital Company Representative
That is true. My phone in the pic is a 4.5" screen. I would like to get a 5.3"
- -
Thanks for giving us a sense of scale babyhemi

This is a hour and a half of BF3 at native on High (Ultra works, but there is a bug in the NV drivers that renders the sky improperly)
So here ya go, some temps and specs. This was with the 90W Brick, its the limit of the brick (battery didn't charge) but it works =)
Please note the max temps, that was during gaming

i am interested in this laptop but was hoping to hear some feedback regarding the size of the screen and daily use..too small?
i plan on playing diablo 3 and starcraft 2, nothing more
also plan to hook this laptop to my 1080 p 24' monitor when playing at home -
I would hardly call 90c+ "cool".
-
Yeah, quite hot. At first I was
at 90C+
Then I realized it was with a 45W i7-2760QM.
What kind of TIM did you use?
I'm sure the 35W i7-3612QM will run a bit cooler too and in turn the GPU should run a bit cooler. Can you run a 35W dual core sandy bridge and report back? Perhaps like an i7-2640M? That would probably be more indicative, if anything slightly higher than what the Quad Ivy will run at.
Possible to also try a larger PSU? Or nothing compatible? 120W would be nice if it's limiting performance and/or charge ability while gaming.
I have some extra stick-on heatsinks left over from my DV6z mod that I will likely stick on the CPU and GPU (if possible) heatsinks to help dissipate some heat right off the bat. -
We have a conference this weekend, so we're putting this through its paces as a real laptop over the weekend
So i'm fresh out of all the parts and tools hehe. I can tell you that the default proc from us is going to be the i7-3610QM for the quad core IVB. We are getting the 3612QM's but because Intel dropped the ball on the processor its going to be late and a lot more than expected, however, the 3610 works just fine. Right now we are just testing the limits of the platform and the 90W brick. the 120W will work fine on this also. Also thats with IC Diamond
This is also 10C COOLER than a similarly configured W150 so I'll take these temps
-
How loud did the fans get during gaming?
Seems like they might have been blasting to keep temps under control.
I can take fans running hard, but absolutely hate it when it gets to the point of being a distraction. -
Didn't even notice the fan at all during gaming. The fan doesn't spin very high but it still keeps it decent temp'ed
-
Wow, 3610QM? Going with 45W TDP? Of course if you compare specs between the 3610QM and 3612QM they are pretty much identical, only 200MHz difference in base and boost speeds (2.1-3.1 vs 2.3-3.3). So the 200MHz just puts it over into the 45W TDP then?
Real usage battery life testing would be great to get feedback on though. Please any info you can offer would be super beneficial! 120W brick might be worth considering too then. Hmm. That brick is probably half the size and weight of the laptop itself!
So 3612QM is late, perhaps Sager is running with the 3610QM as well then? -
Holy crap, where has this laptop been all my life!!!
Any word on the screen quality? Is it better than the "typical" 11.6" screen ala the m11x? I hated that screen. -
Does the HDMI output on these machines pass through audio? With no spdif output they might not.
-
The screen is pretty decent, its a 11.6" but its better than the M11x screen for angles, especially the matte
According to the Intel drivers it does. -
You posted earlier that the 3612QM might be delayed, any idea how long?
-
Megacharge Custom User Title
So at 768 and high settings, how smooth was BF3 on this 650M? -
Nope its not delayed, its just we have to import them directly from Taiwan as Intel has only one customer so far for the 3612qm that we know of (Us) and its the reason the price went up too, they are basically reverse speed-binned 3610qm's so there aren't too many to be had. So we'll get them, we just have to wait for them to go across the world =)
-
Great actually, Ultra was pushing it but still playable. But high was just fine good frames, even during high intensity and explosions.
-
So you're saying Sager won't see the 3612QM?
-
LaptopUserExtreme Notebook Consultant
Wait wait, what? So the 3612M will only be offered by Mythology and not the other manufacturers? So no 35W quad cores from anyone else?
At least it appears to be so considering how Myth's their only customer... Can you clarify what's happening? -
I can't say that, as we aren't sager, and I can't speak for them. I just know what we were told by Intel =)
-
I'm ok with the GPU temps...that seems pretty standard and low for a single fan setup....but the CPU is kinda eeek...
-
No, I know that. But the fact that they said you were the only US customer... Bah well, time to go enjoy my weekend. I'll revisit Sunday/Monday when parts should be online and no more of this secrecy that Intel insists on.
-
awww
so how much will the price gonna be compared to the i7 2640m right now?
-
Like +100'ish
-
I'm sold. Birthday on Tuesday...I guess it's yet another laptop for me... -
Very nice, will be waiting eagerly for monday to roll around and see exactly what we can order.
-
Really?so the 6110 is better in terms of keeping it cool?i thought the w150 would be better because it has more breathing room. Can u post the temps doing the same thing as 6110(running bf3)? Thanks!

Getting a 6165 or a 6110 as soon as i see reviews when playing games! -
Can you give me a ball park of the frame rates? 40-50 on high= very good

Yea the W150HR (2011 model) would get 99C playing BF3 in playable settings, we don't have ER numbers quite yet.
-
Ohh i see. Hope the w150er cools better than the 6110 because i really want the 15inch but if it gets hotter than the 6110 then i guess the 6110 will do it. A benchmark check/ test on the 6165 would be highly appreciated btw!
