Would be good if you do a Hwinfo 64 screen dump of specifications... Especially the motherboard.. Interested to see what chipset Clevo has used with this!

It's quite warm here in Hong Kong, avg 24'C throughout the day I recon.

There was a Chinese user on another forum who fitted a 6700K into last generation's W650DC.
LGA1151 + NV GTX950m, but cooling should be same as W650KK.

    Without undervolt:

    -0.023v undervolt
    downV.png
http://tieba.baidu.com/p/4812196593?pn=1 < link here, enter pn=2 for page 2 etc.

And, core voltage offset slide bar is available on my w650kk.

Thanks a lot, you're a golden source of information.
Could you please also check if there's option to undervolt in BIOS?

It's with my mum now, she needs a new rig for leisure AI/PS use, this little clevo suits her perfectly. I could check later but no guarantee.

Anyway the BIOs is extremely simple, I checked once before I did win10 installation.

    may be a n850hp6-g? :)
that cooling system is an improved version of that of n850hk1
    [IMG]

so do you think that also n850hk1 could have an upgrade in the cooling system like this?

There are subtle layout differences across the board along with different fans. Should the fan voltages match and mounting holes then chances are good you could do it yourself. As for moving it down the range I'm not sure.

You can install max cpu up to tdp 65w. Thats mean i7-7700. Barebones is also possible to order. Dimensions are available on the site by configurator.

    i bought a W650KK1 with

    Pentium G4560
    1080p matte IPS-Panel
    Killer 1535 M.2 AC WLAN
    150W PSU (19.5V 7.7A)
    6-Cell 62Wh battery
    _______
    ~634€.

I will put in my existing 500GB EVO 960 paired with 2x 4GB 2400MHz RAM and use it for light/medium work and some gaming with mid/high settings (Titanfall 2 etc.)

If that config above works fine for me i might sell my P651HP6-G because i do not need such a power horse at the moment....

yes i know, but i am just going to do only light/medium workloads (i.e. surfing, word, mail and little programms like planning the rooms for the house and so on...) and maybe little gaming for example Titenfall 2 / Dying Light / Doom on med/high. So it seems the G4560 may fit my needs. I'll see if its worth or not to upgrade to an I5. But G4560+1050TI seems a good combination (budget wise) ;-D

You will lose some performance compared to an i5-7500, but at a $130+ dollar difference, the Pentium isn't such a bad option.

ok, 7700k delided with CLU, 4.4ghz -100mv, original TIM film used that came with the heatsink. 5minutes XTU stress test run:

perhaps if I use Thermal Grizzly Kryonaout between IHS and heatsink that can even improve things! but not today...

Well, a few of my colleagues ordered one after I showed off to them.
They'll use it mainly for on-site CAD viewing if not buying for their family like i did.
It's cheaper compared to thinkpad or toughbook, significantly faster and maintenance friendly to us<hence reliable
    I'm hoping there'll be a 17" ver so I may leave my so-heavy Precision 7710 in office.

did a repaste with TGK between IHS and Heatsink, with much better results. will post some pictures when I find my camera cable, lol.

how come p870km1 runs hotter with 7700k than this w650kk??? :0 this is insane.

I'm interested in this machine running Linux / BSD, which don't support undervolting recent Intel CPUs.

you can undervolt it via Windows, after that the figures are stored in BIOS hidden setting usually, so unless you set optimal defaults in BIOS - it will keep the undervolt. usually it's like that with most machine, I will check later if this one does the same.

btw. first I tested without undervolt and it was around 3-4 degrees higher. I will make another test for you today later with new thermal paste. this machines definitely keeps it better than p870km1 does, weird...

Because the CPU only needs a quarter of the power a pair of 1080s does. If you don't need to worry about that things get a lot easier.
