2 years assurance and dell offers 1year warranty which are 2 different pair of shoes, anyone can quote me wrong if im at mistake

You can call 24/7 and reach a technician and they also come to your house and fix it -
-
What Dell offer is Premium support (day after services) for Premium price. In short (butter on bacon). They still have to follow Governments rules regarding fixing broken machines/products within stated warranty. It takes longer time but you will get your machine fixed without extra added costs. Remember Dell I an U.S company. And U.S have 1 years free warranty.

For those curious about the light bar, I took a peek at how it works on the software side and investigated the issue with it not keeping the off state after startup. It most certainly can be addressed with an update, though I'm unsure if the boot effect can be as easily modified. I have a POC working at the moment, but I'm not sure of the specifics of sharing such a thing. For the time being, it's possible to be fixed

So here's a new bug to report. My end key keeps getting triggered. I don't use the laptop keyboard at all I have it hooked up to a USB hub and external monitors/keyboard/mouse. At least once or twice a day for the past 2 weeks, Windows would go wonky and I couldn't figure out what exactly was causing it. Everything would scroll down and rebooting wouldn't fix it. I'd have to wait for it to clear itself up. Today I figured it out, the actual end key on the laptop is being held down somehow. I inspected the key and it seems physically fine and there's nothing actually pushing it down. I have to open the laptop lid, tap the end key a few times, then it stops being stuck and I can get back to using the laptop. For now, I'm disabling the "Standard PS/2 Keyboard" in device manager as the other 4 being detected are all VID 1532 which is my Razer Black Widow. I guess if I need to use the laptop keyboard I can re-enable it but would love to know if anyone else is having this issue and how to go about resolving it properly.
Edit: Apparently Windows doesn't let you disable the Standard PS/2 KeyboardAlso I think this button is malfunctioning due to the heat being produced underneath it. The plastic around that button is extremely hot right now but the fans aren't noticeably loud. I'm going to open the lid and let some air over the keyboard to see if cooling it down stops the End key from malfunctioning.

I reached out to Sager support to see if I could get a replacement keyboard. Will report back how it goes. I noticed once I put the fans at 100% and opened the lid, the end key stopped being held down. It was happening a TON this morning b/c it's a bit warm in the house today so I guess maybe this is a design flaw and maybe others will have a similar issue in the future.
This image shows the end key directly above the heatsink/fan above the 3 SSDs so I wonder if the heat coming off the heatsink is damaging the keyboard which is in turn triggering it incorrectly send electronic signals to the system board? I know it wasn't a problem until about 2 weeks ago and I only notice it happening while working as outlook goes nuts as does teams and other programs that rely on me typing. I haven't noticed it in games but maybe the end key isn't mapped to anything in the games I play so it's ignored? -
Check also ssd temps while the problem occur. -
No I do not have any of that tape lying around. I might have to look for some on Amazon are there any you recommend? The problem has not occurred since I have opened the lid though the heat is still pretty bad in that area since I turned the fans back down. I'm not even gaming just have Office apps open trying to work on some spreadsheets /shrug

Good to know. Should it be open completely or is just opening it a little good enough? It sits in under/in front of my monitor so if I open it too much it will block the bottom of the screen.

Someones been using it with the damn lid closed
I don’t understand isn’t it common sense that having the lid closed under load would cause adverse effects? Especially on a laptop meant to be a desktop replacement? Makes me wonder who buys these laptops... -

Watching a movie is not "under load". I don't game with the screen closed.

You should never use the system with the screen down, really. The keyboard is an important air intake.

These are high end machine where airflow is important. You don't stick a folder right in front of the main intakes of your desktop and get surprised when it overheats.

You want to never overheat? Put two bottlecaps under the backsides on the foot rests, done. You will never overheat.

P870TM boots fine and works with a 970m w/ modded drivers. I suspect the 170 will too. Might as well test as many cards as you can while you have it in your possession.DaMafiaGamer likes this. -
I had the lid shut on mine for a couple of days, hooked up to 2 external displays, keyboard and mouse. Didn't seem to have any heat issues.
However, I also have it on a stand with adjustable angles, so I gave it a 45 degree angle for plenty of air flow underneath -
