you can always flash them with the org i have a copy of the org as well but remember you must flash both of them . The modded one i have is only unlocked V from 0.85 to 0.90 and mine are running great after one houre of BFBC2 they hit 80c but with FN+1 they dont even hit 75c MoH Tier 1 with norm fans they are around 75c thats cooler then my CPU and Mobo .
When i run games i dont run the max oc i run about 500-1000-1300 or 520-1040-1340 but they give about the same temps 545-1090-1360 give about a 5c rise in temps norm idle is about 40c with small oc about 41c to 42c medium 42c to 43c with my max 44c to 45c but the top temp are not far from the other ones

here is a copy of the vBIOS
the modd is V is bumpt up from 0.85 to 0.90 File name: new.rar File size: 45.58 KB
this is the software you going to need to flash File name: nvflash_windows_5.95.0.1.zip File size: 348.41 KB
And here is the sofware you going to need to make your usbpeen to be able to boot
File name: usb_format.rar File size: 787.24 KB
First unpack all the files you have dloaded then plug a usb stick in run usb format tick in quick format and booteble device shose the files in win98se then start .when ready you copy the nvflash files and the new.rom onto the usb restart laptop enter BIOS set it boot from usb save and exit ready to go you will need to read the txt file that comes with nvflash it has all the command DONT FORGET TO MAKE BACK UP OF OLD ROM
you do the flashing on your own accord .
    when in DOS
    1 Make backup of rom c:\nvflash -b
2 Make index ( to find out the device number if sli then its two )c:\nvflash -i
3 take off wright protection (if sli you need to do it two times )c:\nvflash -r
4 flash your card c:\nvflash -i1 -4 -5 -6 new.rom the number 1 should be what ever you got after indexing so it could be 0 or 2 then if you are running sli the you do it again but whit the number of the second card

I might just add a word of caution.....if you by chamce hose up the flash, the unit may or may not boot. If it does, you will have to blind flash the cards back.

Not being a kill joy, just a warning.

Yes you are right i forgot to ad that bit
That he needs to wright down his card number and org rom name and dont shange the setting boot from usb there is a full manual online how to do a blind reflash he needs to reed it and understand it before starting
but if every things work out fine then he should do one more boot from usb and use the command c:\nvflash -w to re set the wright protection to the rom and he has to do it for both cards as well

Yeah, the hex cores really get things cooking. gcc runs w/ out a hitch, and Visual Studio 2010 is actually usable.

I don't know if you have some build system in place, but don't forget your RAID-5 Hybrids were probably doing their part in cutting down compilation time - getting source, reading through those files, reading in resource files, etc.

I dont actuly know its not all vBIOS that uses w protection i just put that you need to take it off just in case it was protected nvflash will do the procedure even if they wasent protected .
Can recomend joining MVKtech.net they helped me with all my qustions about vBIOS flashing and its thanks to Mavke on that site i have this BIOS
I can se on your score that you are running sli and the sli some how dont get the same clocks as the singel when you oc i have bin about 30 to 50mhz lower then then the singel systems with the same V so if im not wrong the sli needs more power to get to the same clocks as a singel card but of course im not 100% its just my thoughts when im bin looking at the benches and peoples oc

... And what are your temps on all six cores under a load like Prime95? Inquiring minds would like to know.

May want to check your firmware. My drive arrived 0002. However saw dramatic performance increase once I flashed it to 0006.

Considering that the GTX 485M is architecturally identical to the GTX 470....just mod the .inf of the driver and add support yourself! It really is not that involved of a process

It should literally be as simple as inserting one line of code. Let me see if I can find the needed stuff.

Can you provide me 2 small files, I need the .inf file that is in the extracted video driver for both the nvidia version you want as well as any version that has the GTX 485m.

    Thanks

I had to use turbo boost with throttlestop.
I would have to increase the host clock, and that leads to instability past 150 mhz. I wish we had a memory multiplier option.

I ran prime 95 all six cores at 100% temps went up to 87 deg! I don't think I'll ever hit that in any real world situations. Running 3DMARK I'm in the 50 deg range.

I wish it did. I just downloaded the latest version hoping it would support it, but I assume it has to be enabled in the bios. Mod anyone? :)
The latest XTU does now have temperature monitoring enabled.

Xtu is just not to blame for oc limitations on the x7200, its the bios,

(I have an unlocked bios and still no go, though its beautiful to have so many features unlocked)

for you poor guys out there without the extreme cpu's forget anything about cpu oc'ing, x7200 will post successfully after an oc via raising base clock, but restart the system a second time and get ready to remove cmos battery, or if you're lucky the system will just post the default settings.

I've tried this with a 920, 930, 950, 970 and a xeon w3530, only successful oc'ing is with an extreme via multiplier change, and a 32nm cpu otherwise heat is too much

Any successful non extreme cpu oc'ers out ther with the x7200?

Yeh I origionally had a 950 and had the same problem. As soon as I changed the host clock and voltages It would reboot and run fine. As soon as I restarted it would either reset or I had to pull the CMOS battery. It was n effort in futility. That's why I got the 980 instead. Clevo really needs to allow for memory divider adjustments. A system like this at this price especially with the dual power supplies should be able to overclock IMHO. Maybe a new bios will fix that or is that a function of the PLL or something.

If anyone wants that program I can upload it to fileserve, but you can probably just as easily find O'C software online.

On a different note I found some interesting O'C software for the GPUs, like MSI's afterburner. Albeit didn't like working on my D900F here. Sigh... New X7200 needs to arrive.

Yeah I agree the least they could do is make it so you can edit both the voltages and the CPU multiplier in their BIOS.
