I was very curious when I heard a 33k claim...then saw the physx and lost ALL interest....

 

I looked @ the pics and the hit 28k on the GPU score.

 

Im hitting that most of the time now when i found a Aprox Oc setting to go for
i used the first run to know what i could aprox do with the system

But i must say that Oc setting's very betven physx on and off in considuration to core mhz
and even day to day yesterday i run a benchmark all day on CPU and no probs to day i cant even get it to run in those settings

im hitting about 27k to 29k no physx this is a preview

Not sure if this is the proper way to go about this or not, but I have a NP7280 i'd like to sell. Its way more than I need or probably ever will for that matter.

wwoods, I am tying to figure out the same thing. I want to use two 27" external samsungs with an extended desktop. Can anyone tell us how? I think the matrix dualhead2go will work, but I think it uses VGA and I would prefer hdmi or dvi.

Any suggestions?

 

If you want to use multiple FHD Monitors you can also use a USB to DVI Video Adapter. There are several on the market toady that you can use. I personally use 2 of them and a HDMI out on the laptop. It allows for 4 total displays. (3 24's and the 17 on my laptop)

 

Care to reccomend one ?

Yeah, they're taking their time to come out with this bios, hurry up already

 

I'd say low 70's for both 990x + 485m SLI while benchmarking! the cooling simply rocks in this system, no overheating whatsoever

 

What BIOS are you currently using? Have you checked the BIOS/Drivers page? (See sig below) I try to keep it up to date with the latest info (including a BIOS for the GTX580m), so you may want to bookmark that and check it periodically.

 

He's looking for the Sager version of the .11 Clevo bios that way he doesnt lose XTU support.

Let us know if you try it out. I forgot that early on only the Sager branded BIOSs were the ONLY ones supporting XTU.

If you tried it out and Clevo has added XTU support to these later revisions, that is good to know.

 

Has anyone here tried the 8.17.12.6849 nVidia drivers found on Sager site? If you have or are planning to please post your findings. Thanks.

Hi all!only Sager notebooks can be overclocked in bios? And only in them the processor multiplier isn't blocked??? Or a bios from Sager it is possible to stitch Clevo???

only if you use the Kizwan modded Sager bios
other wise u need to use XTU but it does not work with Clevo Bios only sager org or modded but you can always re flash your Clvo and use the Sager org or modded it works fine

 

Well! Thanks for the information and where I could find this Kizwan modded bios? And who is better than Intel Ultimate 6300 or Bigfoot Killer? Who of the best and what result has reached at processor overclock for example 980 or 990 on this platform??? Whether video cards of 485gtx and what results of overclocking are heavily dispersed it is possible to subdue with ease? And who knows where it is possible to buy memory 3х8gb?

FYI wwoods, this works perfectly. I have two 27" samsungs now. One connected by hdmi-hdmi cable and one connected by dvi-hdmi cable. Works perfectly with an extended desktop. I had to change the 'close lid' settings to 'do nothing' first. I have never used two monitors before. It's great for work. Now to see if I can get some games to work with it. I wish I still played EVE or WoW. Would seem perfect for an MMO.

 

can any sager np7280 onwer get sager bios 1.01.11 from them?

I have had the same problems on my M18x if it makes you all feel better haha

I have 2 DVI 24" monitors and I cannot get both of them and my laptop screen all working at full res at the same time

 

its the standard one with bumped Volt from 1.0 to 1.03 it gives you the posibility to run the gpu at higher clocks

Intel is better for reliability. The 6300 has a third antenna, so it automatically wins.

Some have wanted to see the first page of the bios with the SLI 580M's in the x7200 R2 or Sager NP7282.

 

Yea I have found some 3rd party options, but I am not sur I want to shell out 90$ for a usb > HDMI adatper or a usb > DVI .

3 monitors would be nice, but definately not needed at this time.

On a different note, I think I may have a buyer for your system (your water cooled desktop), frined of mine is a pretty serious gamer, and I printed out the specs for him to look at.
