this has happend to many others too. Try to minimize everything before you make it sleep. That has helped me.

i dont have sleep issues, however i dont have javascript or flash installed (use chrome).
you may wanna try uninstalling flash first to see if it has any effect.

Guys... how the **** do I disable the Touchpad when the mouse is attached??
It is annoying to disable it manually everytime Windows boots up.
On my old Dell XPS the driver of the touchpad had an option "disable touchpad when mouse is attached"
Can't find it anywhere on the Sager!!!
    Please help!

yes... I know that but this will only work untill I reboot.
After Windows restarts I have to press FN+F1 again...

I don't have the hotkey dirver/application installed... could this be a reason why the FN+F1 settings are reset after reboot?

You can disable it permanently though; probably the only way.

Disable it through your Synaptics Pointing Device taskbar menu.

I know on my Alienware there was an option to disable the touchpad if an external pointing device was found... not sure if that was a Synaptics thing or Windows, though....

Update before I post Check out this post; for some reason the option doesn't always show up in the Mouse control panel, but there is a registry key for it. If found it in HKEY_Current_User/Software/Synaptics/SynTPEnh (was set to 17, changed to 51... will restart and test).

EDIT - Poked around the registry some more, found HKEY_Current_User/Software/Synaptics/SynTP DisableTouchPadIfMousePresent (set to 0); set it to one and look what appeared...
To make it work, enable the trackpad (I had mine disabled in the driver software), apply/ok to get out of the control panel. Plug in your mouse and you should see a Synaptic notification come up that says the trackpad was disabled because an external mouse was plugged in. Unplug your mouse to see the notification that the trackpad is back on. No more Fn+F1 :)

Double Edit - Found a post here from March 2011 advising the same thing... not sure why I didn't find that one before.

So I got my Clevo P150HM last week. So far it's performance been great, i can easily run all games on high/ultra at a full hd resolution.

Anyways I tried to push the 6970m to his limits today. Here are some results:

GPU-Z validation of my benchmark stable clocks (870/1135)

3DMark Vantage Performance score of 14986

For those that don't have the SynTP folder, the first step that mentions changing the value from 17 to 51 is referring to a decimal value for DisableIntPDFeature. Hexidecimal value is 33. Changing to this worked for me, had a notification pop up 30 seconds later saying the TP was disabled due to an external device being connected.

you need to install the synaptics driver for that. i think someone posted an image of said drivers interface. however by default, the synaptics driver is not installed on the 8150

Sorry, that slipped my mind; I got mine without an OS so it never occurred to me some resellers/Sager may not install the Synaptics driver. They can be found here (Synaptics Drivers Page)

    @ CoderJ...

You can't install any drivers until after you have installed the OS...that is why they weren't already installed. :)

Um, yeah, I know that. Was remarking as to why I had omitted that step from my method of showing the option to turn off the trackpad.

Although I was wondering why my Verde drivers weren't on here off the bat ;)

for a notebook it is actually quite good, but it has to be tweaked and updated to get the most of it.

For great audio look to the MSI GT683R. The only limitation of the MSI GT683R is the nVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 192bit w/1.5GB GDDR5 being the only available video card.

Any one of you have any issue with the 6970M clock remain at 2D?

If I play games while my browser is loading a video(flash), the GPU clock remain at 300Mhz...

Sometimes when I don't have any video(flash) on my browser, clock remain at 100Mhz instead of 680 when playing game...

    I'm using 11.5b...

    Appreciate the help... thanks...

That has happened to me a few times.

If I start a game, while having a Flash video opened, the clocks will sometimes stick @ 300/900, until I close the video.

It doesn't even happen every time, though. Maybe half of the time.

I just tested it, while posting this, and the clocks got stuck at 2D.

The GPU and CPU are user upgradable . However the motherboard should be replaced by an authorized dealer repair center. :)

The GPU or the CPU can be replaced by the user that has some experience in less than 1/2 hour. The cost of future upgrades are just not known. We will have to wait and see.
This system with a 2720QM and a 6970M should make you happy for some time to come! :)

Can somenone please tell me what the Hotkey Utility is?
All I can see after installing is a small graphics in the top left corner when using the sound/brightness/touchpad/wifi key.
I also see that clickin on the Hotkey Utility icon I get a Power Conservation Mode menu... what is that?
Do I really need this hotkey utility installed?
    thanks!

The Hotkey utility is needed for the function keys on the F1, F2 , F3 etc. What I mean by that is, you'll need it to change brightness, switch on wireless, and all the functions listed on the F keys.

the difference is that without it I won't see the "animation" in the top left corner.

It should also let you use the function keys without "tabbing out" from full screen applications. Some users reported this fixing games being minimized when trying to use the keys.

For such a powerful notebook, I'm quite surprised at the lack of Youtube video's with content on this machine. Just a few reviews (most of them from stores), and some video's of gameplay footage. No owner reviews that I can find, nothing like the Alienware community...

Ditto on that... only thing I hesitate to show footage of is The Witcher; only game I can't get to stay about 50 fps on max (which is strange... think V Sync is enabled but it's not an option in the game... might be in the nVidia panel)

You can't expect to have a high performance machine with great battery life. Those two things just don't go together. From what I've seen, this machine runs fairly impressive durations, given the specs, in relation to other similar machines.

You may want to try running without the hotkey utility. The keys should still work, even without the hotkey icons. (or you can just install it, and untick the hotkey driver in startup programs under msconfig)

will the current p150hm's mother board supports newer CPUs and GPUs when the next greatest from Intel, nvida, and ATI comes out? or are we stuck and maxed out with the current greatest 2920xm and GTX485?

We will most likely be able to support the next generation of GPUs, because that's what it is like for current D900 and 7200 owners.

Not sure about Ivy Bridge. Some people say it will be upgradeable, others say that it won't.

Hi, I am a new Clevo P150hm owner as of today.

The Fn (function hotkeys) are not working, none of them, for me. Is there something I need to do or can do to make it work? The laptop is literally right out of the box with a fresh windows 7 install.

    Thanks!

Quite simple too lol. Thanks though. I installed all the drivers from the Clevo DVD and everything seems to be in order.

Are there any other drivers I should download?

I just thought about one thing: I bought a a WD Scorpio blue drive (WD10TPVT), but I have read that it is taller (by some 3 millimeters) than most other drives. Will it actually fit into the HDD slot on the P150HM (I haven't received my Clevo as of yet)?
