Question, Will the 880M fit into the 9380-S when it comes out? Just got 9380-S today.

Possibly yes. Older notebooks fit 780m

and is it possible to make SLI with 680 and 780m?
or in future with 780 and 880?

There is a good chance that it will need bios modification to work if it will. There is a chance it will just modtly work but nothing is guaranteed.

    Hello all,

I was just wondering if anyone has got their Digital audio out to work? I just got a pair of Astro A50's and cant seem to get the spidf/out working. In the Realtek audio manager my SPIDF/out port is classed as the side speaker output, even tho the red light is constantly on.

Question. My machine came shipped with these errors in the eventlog and they still are happening. How do I fix:

    SOFTWARE EVENTS

    1. Windows detected your registry file is still in use by other applications or services. The file will be unloaded now. The applications or services that hold your registry file may not function properly afterwards.

Being smoother, better refreshes in games, reduces eye strain. For web browsing, etc, it is not an issue. But higher refreshes in games, I find less eye strain.

Yes, I know lcd doesn't refresh like CRTs do. CRTs if viewed in a high speed camera would be blinking on any off, actually you see a bright line that goes from top to bottom lighting up the image. The image fades after being lit up, until the line hits it again to light it up again. Like a fast moving radar image, or at least the ones people see in movies.

LCD is like a shutter panel, it either lets light through or not. Behind each shutter is either red, green, or blue light, or a colored filter with the light behind that. So and LCD can hold a static image without needing to refresh. But images that change means it has to refresh or change state. So when it opens or closes the shutter it takes time. Faster panel, means smoother, or faster shutter openings or closings.

Not to meantion, when gaming, faster updates on either side mean a smoother motion display, less jumping, less tearing that is visible. So I would think that would give lower eye strain. At least for me, a faster lcd, with lower refresh, gave lower eye strain.

(Yes, I know I have sort of combined refresh of the image, hz, with the lcd pixel refresh, ms. And I can't wait for g-sync to get rid of one of those...)

Hey I have this machine and it is awesome but I haven't figured out how to get HDMI out working? Is it a wrong cable, like the 1.4a compliant stuff? I'm using Crossfire 8970ms and I think it has something to do with that.
