    Hello Guys!

I need the Bios of the Samsung RV 411 notebook, my current Bios does not recognize the i7 processor.

The bios needs to accept the i7 processor.

    Thank you very much

What GPU does your laptop have? Also, what are the model numbers of the new and old CPU?

My computer has no GPU because I have no video card. The chipset is compatible with first generation i7.
I'm going to unmount the notebook to look up the code.

    thx

The first generation i3 and i5 have inbuilt GPU but the i7 does not which is why it is likely not compatible.

Sorry, but out of context that code doesn't really mean anything as far as I can tell.

The GPU and CPU are combined on the dual core Arrandale CPUs. If you take out your CPU and replace it with a CPU that doesn't have an integrated GPU, it won't work.

If your laptop has no GPU and is expecting one, I don't think it can function.

If you have plans for an external GPU, that is a bit out of my personal realm.

[IMG] this picture show cpu-z and i7)

I tested with 3 processors I3-i5 and i7. With i3 and i5 it worked perfectly. With the i7 processor not turning on, the screen turned black. I checked on the intel website, and the chipset supports the i7, but I need an updated bios

The processor model is I7 820qm. (On the intel website, it shows that it is compatible)
