So I searched and the only thread on this issue was from 2012. So has anyone recently found anything more on the subject of manually adjusting the fan on samsung laptops. Specifically mine is np350v5c-s01ca. I believe I started on bios P06AAL and it's now P10AAL. I think the problem started with the latest update from (i think P08AAL) to P10AAL.
I started here: [Vorstellung] NoteBook FanControl (NBFC) - ComputerBase Forum
And while it looks like a great program that would work....I can't figure out which values to use for creating the config file which you have to do yourself.

I can see that some values change but they almost seem random. And of course with the current problem of the fan not seeming to go faster when it heats up....that makes it a bit more difficult to identify the correct registers.
I used: RW - Read & Write
to identify the registers.
I used HWiNFO64 to watch the temp and fan speeds. Idle CPU is 60. Idle GPU is 52. Fan speed at this level is reported as 30% in all cases but the RPM is listed at 10 for IDLE and 391RPM for 95%.
GPU Max was 81C @ 95% utilization. CPU Max was 91C @ 100%. It probably shuts down about 10 degrees higher than that. I used AC4 to test it because it's usually during games where it will sometimes shutdown immediately.
Anyone found anything that for sure works for samsung laptops? Or can anyone identify the correct registers so I can try manually controlling it? I know the fan can go faster because it used to be much louder and it never overheated before. There's no bios setting to affect it. No other program I've tried works(ie speedfan).

That's an interesting find.
Unfortunately, no one, in my memory (which is getting worse with age) has figured out how to override the fan rules in the Samsung BIOS.
The only bit of software I can think of that interacts with the fan is Silent Mode the (Easy) Settings package. However, the primary way that Silent Mode works is by slowing down the CPU but the "auto" option, which governs whether the fan runs continuously but slowly or turns on / off, must interact with the fan rules. If you can figure out which register the Auto option talks to then you may be getting close.

I changed the setting from off to auto and it does change one register from 19 to 14.
One register seems to sit around 49-51, one at 7-9, three others usually low number but sometimes jumping up even at full idle. I want to say one or two of the three that changes is the read register for current fan speed since I assume the RPM is around the same number at idle but not 100% constant and has some(even minor) variance that makes the number change. If I try changing one of those values it just goes back to what it wants. Unfortunately changing any of the others has no effect.
