I thought I had pretty much decided on a samsung qx laptop, but am now confused by the differences between the models (several reviews didn't really help me)

aside from price, the only difference I could see between samsungs models was the display type
Features and Specifications - QX410-S02 Notebook | Samsung Office
    -or-
Features and Specifications - QX410-J01 Notebook | Samsung Office
maybe I'm blind and missing something important? regardless, advice on which one is better would be appreciated.

Also, I had heard some stuff about
Get an extra inch out of your notebook. - QX412-S01AU - Thin & Light - Notebook PC | SAMSUNG
It seems like it would also fit what I wanted from a laptop, but I can't find any information about it (or where to buy it from a quick google search)

So if I could get some opinions, information, or links to any good comparisons between these laptops, I would be very thankful

-S02 has a slightly faster CPU than -J01. The QX412 has the same CPU as the -S02 and appears to be slightly lighter. It's down to price and how much value you put on the small differences (which are unlikely to be noticeable in everyday usage). Some of the UK sites such as Trusted Reviews have reviews of Samsung notebooks.

Thanks for the help. I find it strange the cheaper one has the faster cpu. Is there any difference between an "LED Backlit" display and an "HD LED" display on the other?

It's not unknown for the newer models to be both faster and less expensive. perhaps Intel dropped their CPU prices. I would expect the displays to be the same. They are both LED backlit and HD means 1366 x 768 resolution which is almost universal in the consumer notebooks. It's a shame that Samsung don't offer HD+ (1600 x 900) resolution in some of their products. They do make the panels (used by Lenovo and Dell for some of their business products).
