I've not seen the M55 and I don't think it has been discussed here much. This thread is positive about it. I presume it is a slightly bigger version of the X60 series. The UK version has the GFG 7600 graphics and a 1440 x 900 display which will be easy to read but not very high resolution. The 1680 x 1050 on the German mode is just right for a display of this size. I wouldn't believe the 4.5 hours battery time. I would be sprprised if it can get to 3 hours.

It is the only 17" machine under 3kg and will soon be replaced by the M60 (see the Samsung news).

I see... i looked at the thread you gave just now... but no real discussion about the laptop there... eventho seems like the owner happy with it... maybe i will try to check which shop have this model...

about the battery... maybe just like what you said... cause with the graphics cards n the size of the laptop itself... there must be lots of power consumption involve... but at least thats whats in the specs up to 4.5 hours... which if it really goes up to 3 hours +... will be really great...

will read some more about the M60 you informed just now...
