    Hello everyone.
As soon as i got my new NC10, i bought a copy of windows vista and installed on it. I installed all the drivers from samsung's site except for the intel graphics adapter which was not compatible with vista, so i downloaded the latest version from the intel site, and the touchpad driver, from synaptics' website. Once in, like, 2 weeks, windows freezes and shows me this bsod.

I also changed the ram twice, since a friend of mine told me it could be a matter of ram, but still the issue remais.
XP works fine, but since i need vista on this machine and i spent a lot of money for it, it'd be nice to have it working.
Issue doesn't show up in xp.
    Any idea?

There's this long thread in the Dell forum which covers this same problem in more than Dell notebooks.

    John Ratsey,
    thank you for your response.
I had read some parts of that thread some time ago. There, a lot of people hinted that the problem could be related to the video card, suggesting to send the netbook to the maker for repairing.
Please forgive me if i'm not so expert in the matter, but, if the problem was in the hardware, wouldn't it show up in xp as well? it shows up only in vista.
Can i ask Samsung for support even if i don't use the standard os?
    thank you for your time.

Graphics card gives us a direction to look in. The NC10's integrated graphics is sharing the system memory and maybe something is tripping up.

First, you could look in the BIOS to see if there is any option for graphics memory allocation. This should be on the Main page if it is there. If the option exists then experiment with the graphics memory allocation. Also, experiment with the 3D settings in the graphics card properties.

The video card in the NC10 (Intel GMA 950) is as basic as you can get. Perhaps Vista is working it a bit hard. I would recommend using Visual Settings (My computer > properties > advanced) as Best Performance + smooth screen fonts in order to reduce the graphics workload.

You can then try using a Samsung Vista graphics driver for that GPU (try this one for the Q35).

I doubt you will get much help from Samsung support since they don't claim that the NC10 is Vista compatible. However that doesn't stop you asking.
