If you are talking about practical use, the white has a matte lid that is finger print free. The black has a glossy lid which can attract finger prints.

But other than that, everything else is highly subjective -- meaning, it depends on which color is more pleasing to your eyes.

A black NC10 next to a white NC20 from my NC20 review [IMG]

If you plan to use the netbook outside then the glare from a white keyboard reduces screen legibility. Otherwise, as already noted, the matt white finish doesn't show the finger prints which collect on the shiny surface.

Color-wise I prefer the black. But finish-wise I prefer the matte white over the glossy black.

A matte black option would be nice.

    If only....

Has anyone noticed any signs of aging yet with any of the colour options; either wear marks on the glossy black and blue or discolouration of the matt white?

I prefer white, but the problem is discoloration.

The palmrest area will change in color...

I read complaints from people who have owned the NC10 since November or December.

I suppose it depends where/how you intend to use it. The black has a more professional look, which I prefer. I think the white looks a little more "toy-like."

    I have the black.

I dunno... I think the white has a sort of "classy" look to it when seen in person.

Maybe. I admit that I've only seen the white NC10 in photos, but I've seen other models in white. Obviously it a matter of personal preference in any event.

But hey, I'm a dude. I'm not gonna carry around a white netbook any more than I'd wear a skirt and heels with a matching handbag. :p

I've noticed some very expensive cars and SUVs lately that have a very similar color to the white NC10. It's kind of a pearl white, if you know what I mean. Not girlie at all.

Yeah, I was just joshing about the heels and handbag. :) I'm sure it's a nice looking netbook. I do love my black one though.
