Seems like there's no dual hard drive. That's a shame. Everything else looks impressive on paper.

I saw that yesterday as well when I was placing my order, and there is no way he could have gotten his hands on the laptop already. It is not available in any stores yet, so the only way you can get it is to order it online and wait, and the laptop was only listed yesterday, so he couldn't have gotten the laptop yet. Also "NP-RF711" is not the previous model to this laptop, this laptop is in Samsung's premium line of laptops, the NP-RF711 isn't. I think he is just mad at Samsung and is going around giving bad reviews to all of their products.

Yeah. Saw that too. I tuned out at "previous model".... :D

Review that model then. Why review the new model and give it a low rating?

Not sure about the HDD bays. I don't care. I have an 128G SSD waiting for it and that's enough for my needs. For now.

please let us know if it has dual HDD bays. I would love to be able to throw in like a 64gb ssd to go along with that 1tb drive.

What stress test are you using for the GPU usage to fluctuate so much?

Just windows scores. Im at starbucks with it so I can't download any big files with there internet. As soon as I get home I will run it through 3dmark/vantage

The stock hd is so slow...I should run to Fry's and get a faster drive

I just started a review thread in here. I had the sandy bridge version of this laptop and the battery lasted 7 hrs so I hope with new tech this thing goes longer. The screen is awesome!

Will there be any possibility of customizing this, or based on Samsung recently will they likely release a few different spec options?

I think I am relieved now. The screen is the deal-breaker for me.

Probably not. Samsung isn't like Dell, HP, or lenovo that lets your customize your own specs. There might be a few prebuilts of the same model though, but I would guess no more than 3.

I am interested in this laptop. How does the user of this computer change the battery? Will changing the built in battery be a big hassle? Thank you in advance to anyone who can answer these two questions.

Does anybody have a clue about when is this laptop will be avialable fo canada ? I find it incredibly unprofessional and amateurish from such a big firm not to give any indication about the avialability dates of its product.
