    ****! Quick look at the specs though tells me i'm not interested. I like the processor but thats the only real improvemnt i can see. Furthermore, nothing will make me go back to a WXGA screen.

    Why are you hating WXGA-displays? Is it because the widescreen or the poor display itself?

    generaly speaking, people now want WSXGA+ on a 15.4" and 17" and sometimes a WUXGA on a 17".

    Look at the ASUS A6j and Acer 8200, which one do you think is better, and trust me the answer is obvious and the resolution is a big factor in getting a laptop.

    anyways, yes if this new X60 does not come with a WSXGA+ res, i doubt people will buy it, they will all jump on the Acer 8200 for a cheaper price and amazing features :D

    Thanks,

    Lke mystic golem said the WXGA resolution is just too low. Constant scrolling around in web browsers and is a pain for CS2 work. This is irrespective of actual screen quality.

    Most websites that Officialy REview Laptops, they all say the same thing;

    "Nice screen, nice viewing angles, but pitty the resolution, if only the res was higher this would appeal to more people"

    Stuff Along those lines.

    Everyone loves widescreen, Hence the movement of widescreen, monitors, TVs, plasmas, LCDs, and Widescreen laptops of all sizes.

    People want widescreen, but also want a good resolution.

    the 1280x768 (800) res is too low for a 15.4" screen but a small amount of people like it.

    The 1440x900 res is odd but people don't mind going there.

    The WSXGA+ is the best resolution for 15.4" and some 17" This is alsmost a standard RES for 15.4" anything with a lower res won't sell.

    Then we got the WUXGA res for people who want more, this is a nice res but people complain it's not as clear as WSXGA+ but i guess its subjective.

    Thanks,
