I have a problem of a different nature. I use my R70 as a bedroom TV, so i basically bought a USB tuner and plug in the tuner into the USB port. The trouble is, the audio seems to constantly freeze for a few "milliseconds" . This makes it annoying to watch TV, with very short but continuing audio "skips".

I tried this tuner on my older laptop, works fine, and on my work laptop no audio problems. Just the R70 has these problems. I also see that the audio skip often happens when the processor increases its work rate by even a few %. So i assume that any other background proc power drain effects the tuner audio. But with this sort of specs R70 should not struggle under the weight of a TV tuner. Any ideas, is it just the fact that vista drains so much? I decreased some vista display characteristics and background programs, still nothing.

Edit: Ups! I should be in the R700 forum :0 , not R70. But John if you can answer here that would be appreciated.
