    Hi guys,

I have done some reading on this and on other sources about the caps lock popup caused by easy display manager, but wanted to check to see if anyone has found a better solution than autohotkey or other key remapping fixes. Samsung support doesn't seem to imply that they will add a feature to turn this popup on and off (silly, it should be a simple fix). We all know disabling display manager kills the function keys and other things.

Has anyone found some workaround to avoid the popup but keep the functionality of the caps lock key? I don't have experience with autohotkey yet but can it remap caps lock to shift lock somehow?

    Thanks all.

I would also like to know, because when I was playing some games in fullscreen mode on my laptop (np700z7c), sometimes I accidentally press the cap lock button and that minimizes the game. Samsung should come out with an option to disable the popup thing.

I think you will have to do some research by (i) testing the effect of killing processes in Task Manager and (ii) hunting the registry for any possible switches relating to Easy Display Manager.

Killing the process (Easy display manager) stops the popup, but it also controls the fn keys and possibly the backlight for the keyboard, so those go away as well when the process is killed. I'll search for it in the registry, but I haven't had any luck just yet. Thanks for your suggestions.
