Samsung Series 9 - Windows 8

Typical stupidity. It's probably a $1 speaker, they should have just replaced both if they couldn't figure out which one. Samsungparts.com sells either speaker for about $14. If it was me I would probably pony up and replace myself rather than be without the notebook for another two weeks. You could try a bootable linux dist if you want to make sure it's not a software issue, but it certainly sounds like a blown speaker.
