Hi, I'm looking to buy a new laptop & the 700Z5A looks right up my street. I'm keeping an eye on the OpenGL thread, because I'd want OpenGL support. The other thing I couldn't find any info on was dual-booting linux on this machine. Has anyone tried? Does expresscache work under linux? Are there any problems with the graphics switching technology under linux?

I'm also rather worried by the number of threads where people have accidentally wiped their expresscache & can't get it back. On some threads people seem to be saying that they've wiped it by accident, but on another thread a company rep says that that's impossible & expresscache can't even be seen by the OS. Is there a definitive answer?

    Thanks!

You can defiantly wipe it clean... when you boot into any install disk it shows up as just another disk. I wiped it and i am not sure what format it needs to be in in order to get it functioning again. NTFS and FAT32 do not work. Which leads me to think its swap? or possibly HFS i'm not sure. If anyone has any info on how to get the cache back please let me know.
