    The chipset includes an SATA 3 interface but there are several instances of computer manufacturers only using SATA 2. Perhaps the hardware design is slightly easier with the slower interface.

    In reality, the SATA 3 speeds are only achieved during sequential reads and writes such as when you are reading a block of data into RAM. So some actions will feel slightly snappier, but even if the interface is only SATA 2 the computer will feel turbo-charged compared to having an HDD inside.
