    samsung NC10 brightness to stay?

    every time I set the brightness it goes away every time I turn it back on....anybody know how I met the brightness stay?

    If your computer is running vista, then you can set brightness in power options. Click the battery icon select 'more power options', and you can set default brightness after another step.

    This, I think, is the auto-dim option at work. It is controlled by Samsung Battery Manager for which there is an icon in the system tray.

    How about when I change the profile from 'max. battery' to 'normal', the brightness also changes.

    I tried to change the brightness in the battery mananger but it would not allow me.

    How about trying the Brightness Mode Control option in the BIOS. The default is auto.

    See the attached (for NC20, but I expect the other netbooks will be the same).

    I've put it on 'user control' now, I think that may have fixed the OP's problem but not mine.

    I have an N310 and have the same problem , I have the bios set to user , but every time i reboot the netbook the brightness goes to full 8/8 and i have to adjust it every time , this is on XP.

    Any Help.
