ESET main website for India actually markets at higher price of 7$(VAT/GST Extra) https://www.sakri.in/eset/index.aspx
While Amazon markets ESET for as low as 3$ with license key delivered to your mail in 2 hrs and instant refund if it doesn't work. And kaspersky is priced even lowered than ESET.
    ESET Amazon
    Kaspersky Amazon
I feel something fishy with ESET India Store website unlike Kaspersky India.
Usually I buy it from Brick and Mortar stores. I never bought another AV after MSE made its debut. Earlier, I was a Symantec/Vipre/GDATA user.

Do you have uBO installed or Adguard? If so, open its dashboard and check for suspicious scripts and block them.

The main point with my post... Showing that Eset is alone on Virus Total throwing out the “suspicious” notification. We talk about Eset!

Try disabling ESET and switch to BD/Panda as a test. Maybe its an isolated case wherein LiveGrid could've gone wrong.

EDIT: So would this key for NOD32 2018, work and activate the 2019 version? FOUND THE ANSWER IN OLDER POSTS

EDIT: Added more to the question

If so, in two years time will the 3-year license allow me to be on the most current NOD32 version (IE. NOD32 2019, 2020, 2021, in the event they would exist) or will I perpetually be stuck on a 3 year NOD32 2019 license?

I bit the bullet and bought 1 Yr 1 Device Global Key for NOD32, it's one of those 05/03/2020 keys, so OEM I think? AU$ 3.50

Any license form any year for an ESET product is valid for ANY version of that same product (ie. NOD32, Internet Security, etc.). The year number does not matter. Period.

Get the Antivirus only. It has the same powerful file scanner and an HTTP scanner. You dont need anything else other than an ad blocker for your browser

Papusan was lucky and newer trend will push that idea of using Telemetrics to determine how much salt or pepper or spice you need after frequent visits as opposed to earlier, people used common sense to make the taste just right for everybody!

So, what happens to those licenses when you don't use them?
Which AV do you recommend? I'm thinking of Syshardener and Defender in Max containment mode for my sister's laptop. I tried Kaspersky and it was blocking my custom scripts so I switched to WD with updated engine which is lighter and faster.

Nothing happens, the license validity remains and will expire on the set date when I purchased the license.

    My recommendations are as follows:

    1) Norton Antivirus Basic, a simple and light AV with no bloatware and offers superb protection as it has an HTTP scanner but unlike NOD32's HTTP scanner which makes my VPN super slow, this one doesn't slow down my VPN or browsing at all.

    2) Avast Antivirus only with a custom install

I stopped recommending NOD32 Antivirus lately although it is one of the best due to its HTTP scanner ruining my web browsing experience and causing issues with VPNs and secondly, it does not respect the exclusions I put in it properly. Like I would exclude a folder but if it detects a virus or false positive in my case, it will still bring up a warning to quarantine, or fix it then I have to say ignore and exclude from signature detection. Not the biggest deal but I don't like the fact that it's not respecting what I specifically told it not to scan.,

As you know I only use Antivirus not Internet Security Suites but if one wants an Internet Security Suite, then Vipre Advance Security is my recommendation.

Avast is Malware whatever you put it as custom or not (free or paid). None should support Trash company!!! Only reason people still have to run Windows Malware OS is is the compatibility with most things. If we had a better alternative... Windoze 10 from Redmond Retards would go righ in the trash can as well. As you know.. Malware isn't welcome on any persons computers.

I didn't get notification at all! Sorry!
I won't install Avast. I'll try Norton. Are you sure it'll not block custom scripts when she's programming? I believe she managed to skew the ICC watchdog timings. So, I had to reprogram the SPI since MEI was bricked.

I'm installing latest right now, will edit with result in a bit

    edit:

Yes, it's fixed now. on 12.2.30.0 i don't get that notification.

NOD32 is detecting IOBit Uninstaller as a PUP. Putting it on the ignore list is fine, but still a bit annoying.

    Super quick question…
I'm giving the 30 day trial (AV only) a go. If I do decide to purchase will I still have to look at their splash screen with the creepy robot every time I boot my laptop?

I've got a key for a 1-year/3-PC subscription to NOD32 AV. First person to PM me who's been a member here for more than 6 months gets it.
