Ok, I was going to say if you just installed it, it may take a couple of days to "settle in" so to speak. I got nothing for you. Something is playing with your camera for sure.

yep. Might work itself out eventually though. I find after updates a few weeks are needed to sort all the software out.

Finally Good news... I wonder what Tim Cook Thinking now... Increase prices du less sales?
And he said people were benevolent to pay... Aka $1000 phones not expensive at all.
Apple’s iPhone X Shipments Fell Almost 50 Percent In Q1 of 2018 Compared To Q4 Of Previous Year -
Update on facetime: It seems that battery consumption returned to normal levels after iOS 11.3.1 update. I was on a videocall today around 10 mins and the battery level just dropped about 1-2% in those 10 mins.

@Vasudev I have no credit to rep you.
But to answer your question, the iPhone X is one of the best phones I've owned. Now that I've had it for almost a month. The battery life is stellar. the camera is one of the best if not the best with its natural colors and perfect portrait mode (bokeh effect), the phone is super fast and snappy and best of all, its not gigantic like the iPhone 8 Plus. fits nicely in the hands (ladies??)
I recommend you get it.Papusan, Metalstream, bloodhawk and 1 other person like this. -
Battery life on the Pixel 2 XL is way better than the iPhoneX, end of the day after about 6 hours of screen on time im left with 5-10% charge on the Pixel 2, where as on the iPhone X with the same type of usage i would barely make it home after about 4.5hours of screen on time.Last edited: Apr 27, 2018 -

Like @bloodhawk said, iphone doesn't even last a day while Android does it w/o any issue.hmscott likes this. -

In terms of SOT, iphones are no go for me. Only if Nokia 8 sirocco added OIS I would have got it.

Like the S8+ i have lasts me about a 15 hours or so, with 4 hours of screen on time (messaging , emails, bit of games and you tube), but the same US model lasts my dad 6 hours in India. However the Exynos S8+ barely lasts 3 hours over there.
Im guessing our observation have something like this going on well.
As for the build the Pixel 2 XL feels plastic, but its full metal. The coating feel that way.Vasudev, Spartan@HIDevolution and Papusan like this. -
Tim Cook’s ASP gimmicks have kept Apple’s Income Statement afloat, they won’t last long unless Apple changes its attitude towards consumers. While people can afford $1000 smartphones due to carrier packages, it’s still too much for a device that fits in the palm. On that note, let’s hope the rumors for an iPhone 9 will bear fruit as they suggest that Apple’s quick to learn from its mistakes – something which was absent in the Jobs era.
-
Which network were you using in the states and in India?
@Papusan and Phoenix: I just saw an iphone 8 or 8 plus user had a reboot suddenly. I was traveling in a bus and I was able to figure it out she thought it was normal (I judged from facial expression, though).
I hate Apple. I thought about buying it but I forced to reconsider. -

Ha ha. I find myself Jumping back and forth between the Huawei p20 pro and the essential phone. I don't know which one to get. The p20 pro has an AMAZING camera, and awesome battery life, but the essential is just so nicely built!
All that said, I do love my iPhone 6s. Its the best out of all the iphones IMO. Nothing they released since has made me want to upgrade.Vasudev likes this. -

I spent an hour in best buy yesterday just floating around. I keep getting drawn to two devices in the store...well 3, 1 the pixel chromebook, 2. Surface book 2 15", and 3. The essential phone. I walked around and used everything there. I keep going back to the essential phone. It's the nicest phone available. I tried the pixels, the xl has a terrible screen, I would not be able to use that. Move it off center of your vision and the blue hue is just out to lunch bad. The regular pixel is just not as nice as the essential. Used the galaxy lineup....EWWWWW trash. Played with the iPhone offerings, x is junk, and the 8 is the same as my 6s. In the notebook, the surface book and pixelbook ROCK!

Ha ha ha. Again, nope. I am constantly drawn to the pixelbook, it's just so fast, and well built. There is software available for everything you do now. it's a great platform.

Yes, that is the one I was using. It's awesome. If you have not tried it, it's worth your while to. Premium hardware all the way. The best touchpad I have ever used. The keyboard is awesome, Chrome OS is good too now. So overall it's a great device.
