Even if I pay for extra RAM I bought from Amazon its not an OEM model that suddenly vanishes into thin air after few months. You can technically desolder the DRAM ICs and get modules from OEM(Micron,SK Hynix, Sammy and others, but it is expensive) -
-
Sort of like how we used to have that for phone batteries and how we have that for storage capacity (at least in microSD). -
Replacing RAM ICs can be done if the vendor doesn't whitelist only specific RAM ICs to preserve Secure boot and other security mechanisms. -

@Papusan I used to think the guy just had a weird grey beard on your old one...

And yees, no weird grey beard. Both should show the same expression.

Well, I am on my way to see how much a 256gb Xr is going to set me back. I need the second line for my various new businesses I am working on right now. This should be good!

, but will it be more expenciuve than losing More Customers?
Apple Losing More Customers in China as Retailers Claim Better Pricing and Features From Competitors’ Devices
This year’s iPhones aren’t expected to be big on innovations either, with previous info including a triple camera with a smaller notch. Chinese companies, on the other hand, are invested in new trends such as foldable smartphones and 5G-compatible devices, which are in their nascent stages right now, but as better technology and manufacturing processes are available in the future, the products will eventually improve.
Apple is reportedly preparing a 5G-ready iPhone for next year, along with a foldable device. While the California-based giant waits for the technology to mature so it can be perfected, it is possible that this lack of early adoption causes the company to lose further ground in China. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see how improved the newer models have become when they launch in late 2019.
Maybe your company should reduce prices if you have stopped up your expencive Innovation? -
Well. Not near as bad as I thought. 170 up front for the 256 and 600 to pay off my 8. Cdn dollars.

Just like it did with the iPhone X, Apple overestimated demand for the iPhone XR and as a result, was forced to cut down orders from the smartphone’s supply chain later on. The US’ increasing trade hostilities with China didn’t help and resulted in the company issuing its first earnings revision in years. After things settled, and in order to compete with companies such as Huawei, the Cupertino tech giant reduced its iPhone XR prices in China. Now, it’s doing the same in India. Take a look below for more details. Tim Cook will you continue with the annual prices increase for your 2019 model line? -
What phone are you looking at?

Depends on how much money I'm willing to blow for something with gobs of storage. For the lower costs, 8 or X. For the higher costs, Xs.
I'm in no hurry though. The only reason I'm considering moving from the 6S+ is due to storage capacity running slim for me on 32GB. Everything else about my current phone is just fine, but Apple doesn't believe in microSD -

I sold my wife's 6s the other day. I am holding onto mine, my son will need an actual phone soon, so I have it ready to go with his info on it. I got the 8 because of the wireless charging and we got great deals on ours from my wife's employer. If we never got those deals, I would still be happy using my 6s. We also got new watch 3's on LTE too. Makes every other wearable seem basic.Vasudev likes this. -

iPhone XR Price Cut Is Slowly Turning Things Around, but Apple Needs to Do More, Says Analyst...
Ready for that, Tim Cook?

Apple’s iPhone Woes Continue In Q2 2019 As Revenue Is Down By 5%
The company’s been seeing ‘tough’ times lately, as the company has struggled to justify its high prices and brand image to customers in China and India. Its iPhone upgrade cycles have slowed down, and despite the launch of the iPhone XR last year, Apple has been unsuccessful to reduce the duration of this cycle. As a result, the company is now focusing on services and is upgrading its product portfolio across the line.Vasudev and Rengsey R. H. Jr. like this. -

I'm glad most people are opening their eyes about the smartphone world and being smart about making their smartphone purchases. I'm not bias to only one brand as I am a phone geek. I'm currently using a Palm PVG100 on T-Mobile. I love this cute phone.

At the price of iPhone XR I can get iphone 8/8+ 128/256GB.Papusan likes this. -
I can switch out the RAM from 4GB to 8GB using either Micron or Sammy but TITAN M security chip will prevent non-authorised parts from booting the device or even running for 24/7 stability. That's the reason I opted for P2XL JB color, after hearing the discontinued notice and slashed prices of P3, I decided to hold off and use mid-range phone for few months rather than use inferior phone that'll cause more headaches in the long run!
If I get a Qualcomm model of iPhone then I'm buying it or otherwise. -
5,400 trackers found on iPhone bleeding up to 1.5 GB private data over a month Notebookcheck.com | May 29, 2019
Apple likes to claim that buying an iPhone means buying into an ecosystem where user data is sacrosanct. An examination by the Washington Post demonstrates that the reality is quite a different picture.
Apple likes to claim the high moral ground no on user privacy and that may well be true when it comes to the data Apple collects from users. However, what Apple doesn’t make clear (they don't care) is that it doesn’t take the same level of care to protect the data that other apps collect about users and forward remotely in many cases without explicit user consent.Vasudev likes this. -

They're really worse than Google. They have our real time location eventhough location is disabled. With google Analytics Intelligence APIs handpicking people who use iPhones and finding them is lot easier which simply is against Apple's claims that we believe in human privacy.
EDIT: I couldn't even pronounce sacrosanct. Damn...Papusan likes this.
