Cheap solution, close all background application, set you OS to best performance, uplift you laptop to allow maximum air flow, this should reduce the temps from 5 to 10 C degrees depending on the ambient temps.

Ive fixed mine by applying AS5 a while ago and temps wont go above 77 on stock clocks and 85 OCed,

i still have issues though which i find strange. Uplifting my laptop actually increases the max temps by a few degrees! laying the laptop on its side for 5 minutes will cause a bsod due to temps reaching 125C!! even now!! it rises extremely rapidly to this after 5 minutes of being on its side. I think the Heatpipe is defective on certain models. Can anyone else try this and see? Just run furmark.

No luck here. I installed a secondary fan-mod, and now my temps absolutely never go above 65 c in furmark, and never go above 54c when gaming, this is all with a constant superclock(just read my specs).

I remember you talking about this before. Did you ever explain on any threads how you did the mod?

I have pics here and I explain a little bit. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=4365462 Oh, also, the AS5 paste is a thermal cunductor, and if you dont have an ample cooling solution to push the heat off of the fins and through the vent, its just sitting there. Try a cooling pad first, and make sure it sits directly over your fan intake hole, so it boosts flow, and I bet your temps go down by alot. then if you feel froggy, the fan mod isnt hard at all. I actually cut small parts out of the fan frame before I put it in, in order to induce convective airflow.

I have a Qosmio F55-q502 with 9700M GTS, monitoring de GPU temperature i've realized that it reaches 105 C celsius when i play games like GOW or Crysis. Googling my problem I've found this forum. I've just read the Mickbt26 solution with that AS5, and I'd like to do repleace this paste but I need some help about how can i do that. There's some tutorial abuout replacing the thermal paste of the GPU por Qosmio Laptops? many thanks..

well, i was looking some tutorials where cq842000 disassembles their X305. My F55-Q502 seems to be similar. The question is, Do i have to dissamble almost all the laptop to access to the GPU for changing its thermal paste?

Yes the F55 is very similar in the disaasembly and yes you will need to most of it to get to the GPU. Once you get the keybord and topcase off, you can access the CPU and GPU. I hope this helps. God Bless :)

Now I'm having the same problem in my F55-Q502. I can play for only 5 minutes until the laptop shuts down. I'm getting 100 degrees celsius at full load and 65 at idle. This is getting ridiculous.

Problem solved. I opened my laptop and it was full of dust. I cleaned it and also applied some as5 to both my gpu and cpu. Now my idle temp is at 50 celsius and my load temp is 75. What a difference. Everyone who is having this problem should do this.

Wow... that is an amazing score... I could only score up to 7800...
after undervolting the cpu and overclocking the GPU by a little.
However, I stumbled upon a problem and had to reinstall... well I can't be
happer than that for a '$600 laptop :)'
