So my wife wanted one of the Toshiba nb205 netbooks. I convinced her to hold off until today so she could get one with win7 instead of xp.

So she went today and bought one. Got it started up and configuring it but we could not find bluetooth. Turns out that's because they took that out from this model. The previous XP version came with it and she wanted to use blue tooth to sync her phone. ARRGH. Apparently that is a best buy only issue since the units on their site come with it.

On a positive note win 7 starter is fairly zippy on this unit and looks very nice. upping the RAM to 2gb makes a noticeable improvement even with boot up of the unit

You can add a USB "nano" Bluetooth adapter for under $25. Other than taking up a USB port they are great because they are so small that they don't stick out of the laptop or netbook where they could get broken off.

I know what you are saying about Best Buy's models not always being exactly what you want. I was looking at a Toshiba laptop tonight - it was more or less exactly what I wanted except I'd like the backlight keyboard. It's only a $38.25 as an addition if adding to a Toshiba Direct custom order, but overall just getting a custom machine with the same specs as what I saw in Best Buy tonight is going to cost over $150.
