So the RM-74 2.2 L500D, looks like a really good deal, I'd love to hear what owners have to say about it.

    thanks

I just checked out the two L500D configurations on ToshibaDirect.com and they look like a great value!

The L500D-ST5501 is $549 ($50 off) with the following-
    Windows Home Premium 32-bit
    2.2GHz AMD Turion X2 RM-74
    16.0" TruBrite (1366x768) display
    3GB DDR2 RAM
    320GB 5400rpm hard drive
    DVD-RW
    ATI Radeon 3100 integrated graphics
    b/g/n wireless card
    6-cell Battery

    or the L500D-ST5600 for $579 ($50 off)-
    same as above except-
    2GB DDR2 RAM
    250GB 5400rpm hard drive
512mb ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570 graphics card

The second one is much better for gaming, but if you don't game, then get the first one.

Yes, I saw that on the site. Looks like a good deal. I thought it was really nice in person over at Staples. Nice keyboard, really solid. Nice screen as well.

Id get the second one even if i didnt game. only $30 more, and you would think the resale value would be much better. I always take that into consideration because I buy and sell laptops every 6-9 months without losing more then 10%

So you would go with the dedicated GPU...?
I was considering battery life and heat....
