Also I noticed tiny red and blue dots on Toshiba, do those dots exist on the Lenovo screen too?

Not unless you own both Toshiba and Lenovo and compare.

    Hi All,
Need your candid opinion and suggestion.

    I have purchased Dell 7537 / 16GB / 750M GT / I7 4510U, it's nice but not really powerful enough for my applications use.

Several times, I had leaned towards Toshiba P50T, but afraid of the low battery issue and the small fonts as many telling over this forum.

Can any one tell me their own experience with Toshiba P50 ...doe sit make sense to buy Toshiba or Asus stuff...

Your candid suggestion would be highly helpful.

Right now I'm in the process of getting 4K P50 or 55T, planning to usee HDD caddy for HDD and SSD at the original bay...is there any problem with DVD Sata compatibility or Sata 1 Sata 2 Sata 3 interface issue when using extra HDD at DVD bay?. Alsi I read it some where that after adding HDD to DVD port int he 4K version, it seems lappie getting too hot as the 4K model contentiously using more than 30% of processor, and keep accessing HDD, which was placed in the DVD port. is it issue with BIOS? if the problem exisintg

    Please advcie.

I didn't put in a HDD caddy in the optical bay.

I just replaced my HDD with a big SSD.

How much did it cost? When you replaced it, did it help with fan noise?

    $509 Canadian + tax, on sale for a Crucial M550 1TB SSD.

I didn't notice the fan noise before I did the upgrade, so I don't know.

It did help with battery life, however.

How does 70JY compare with Toshiba P50T in terms of the screen? I returned P50T because of its fan noise and also the tiny blue and red dots on the screen. I'm thinking of getting the 70JY because I read that it doesn't have fan noise and also it has red keyboard lights which is less disruptive to sleep than the white light that P50T has. It says that the P50T has 282ppi but when I used it I felt that it was higher than that. iPhone 5 ppi is 326 but I felt that the P50T screen was more sharper than it. Was it a pigment of my imagination? In fact, when I looked at the 5k iMac at the Apple store, the P50T looked more sharper (it really shows on the fonts), but that's obvious because 5k iMac has only 218 ppi.
