Well, in that case... VAIO Care shows first boot up as 22 seconds and average boot of 25 seconds.![]()
That's for my SSD.I'm not willing to set up Windows on my only other HDD just for the numbers. I regret the last time I went that far.

I'm using the mermaid wallpaper on my 1600x900 display right now. The extra height from the 16:10 crops off due to my wallpaper settings. I think it looks great!

And my questions are :
1- What are the main differences between F11 and F12 ?
2-I have the oppurtunity to order the laptop from Canada or Saudi Arabia , from where do you advise me to order it ?
3- What are the troubles that still remain from F11 in F12 and what are the fixed ones in F12 ?
4- If I want to buy the laptop online through sony style , can i order it from the united kingdom sony style site then the factory ship it to me here in Egypt ?
There is no official dealer here in Egypt :'(
And thank you very much for your support .Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
I don't have much to say about the differences between F11 and F12, but I do have to say that if you're going for such a sweet configuration, why not get Blu Ray as well? It's totally worth it. Well, if you plan to watch movies on it.Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015

I went and grabbed comcast's norton 360 (I have comcrap heeh), and it runs just fine. Usually 0% CPU usage
If you disable java, use adblock (and maybe a click-to-play-flash things) bit, and don't hit up strange websites (/piracy), you probably won't even need the AV anyway. -
Nicely gathered and thumbnailed collection. Thanks for the url

Norton has definitely improved a lot in the past couple of years, but I use MSE also for the same reasons you do. I do like a more robust firewall than the Win 7 one so I use Outpost Firewall Pro and it runs along side MSE just fine. I bought a multiple pc lifetime license for Outpost Firewall Pro a few years back so I might as well use it as it allows me to tighten down my security a bit more and it doesn't conflict with MSE.
On another note, I have been seeing my processes in windows task manager averaging close to 90 recently so I used autoruns to stop several unneeded entries from startup. I went from averaging close to 90 processes down to closer to 70 and the system is snappier and is more responsive sooner on start ups. Thanks JoeBleau, your posts on autoruns reminded me to to this. -
