i never had problem like that in my vaio...

You seem to be asking quite a few questions... I'll try to sort through them as best I can.

Your wireless problem sounds like interference rather than a problem with the laptop's wireless setup. Many things operate on the 2.4GHz frequency that most routers use. I recommend that you go into your router settings and switch the channel that it's operating on, as that may help to some extent.

If that does nothing, try your laptop on another router, say at a friend's house and see if you get similar issues. This can help nail down where your problem really lies: with the laptop or the router.

It seems the Graphics issue has been solved by Sony in the latest batch. Anyone considering buying this laptop can go ahead without worrying of any graphics issue. Just make sure you get one made in July or later. :)

yes it seem so, then i wonder why sony haven't released any of bios update for the older released. do they plan not to support the laptops from the older batch?

Just for a note, my bios version is R0230V2, EC version K0230V2, ME 7.04.1197... The one who doesn't have any problem with graphic issue, please post your bios version

If that's true then I'm relieved... And I don't think that the US released and asia released would be the same... But I'm hoping it is the same, so it would be easier

I updated quite a few of the updates available . Don't know, which one of them cropped the track pad issue . The Pointer movement became jerky intermittently ( it did not get disabled though ).

yes it's the problematic bios you have... hmm, you can't use OpenGL programs i assume... if you can, it use intel, not the AMD...

all the game you said it is using DX not OpenGL, try OpenGL program, like angry bird RIO... you'll have the same result as most of us

Your laptop does not have any graphics switching issue :). You need not worry about any BIOS update.
Only those who bought this laptop early are waiting for the BIOS update. Hopefully Sony will release an update soon.

Do you think Sony chat reps have any clue about what's going on ? They are useless. Don't just go by Sony reps being aware/ignorant of the issue.

sorry i just tried angry bird and i can play it flawlessly... hmm, i'll try to see which graphic card is being used..

I just confirmed it, it uses intel. Could you. ( Bipin) use gpu z when u play angry bird to see whether if the amd card is working? Mine's not working, which mean it uses intel

@larry, could you try revert back to the CCC come with your laptop ? and try angry bird again? it could be the new CCC messed up

hmm, it's dynamic ones you two have, it should be having problem with OpenGL programs at the moments, could you try application with OpenGL? such as adobe suite, draw a model with many 3D capabilities, and you'll see lags all over...

it defaults in intel, where it should be in AMD... you could try download GPU - Z to make sure which one of your graphic card is working ( If AMD card is working, it would have a fluctuation in core speed and memory ) if it's not working then it would be 0 in core speeds

Sorry, I could install a Ubuntu partition, but I don't really want one on this laptop. I read somewhere that their were driver issues with Ubuntu on the C series, but unfortunately I can't find where I read that now (pretty sure it was a random linux forum though).

I'm a bit unconvinced on this point, I'd have to see a dxdiag readout (run on high performance) to be certain that this issue has been resolved in the newer versions.

    @ cassy

I think that, the issue were solved if the newer models really has the manual / fixed switchable... Alternatively, you could check it when you buying it...

We'll need more samples from the newer models to determine, if the newer models, really has the fixed switchable, or it just a fault driver / bios from sony

I just tested WoW, it's in the list of openGL programs, but, AMD is working when I started the program, I haven't log in though.. Don't have a connection atm...

I'll try running it on OpenGL later...

update tested, OpenGL really don't work on AMD...

if bipin / MSSXXI or anyone who bought theirs in july could check on WoW, or another application that uses OpenGL using GPU-Z i would really grateful, that is to determine if the issue were gone or not

DxDiag seems to be not recognizing the AMD GPU. But somehow the AMD GPU is the one that is actually working in your system as shown by the CPU-Z screenshots. So I think its more of an issue with Windows DXDiag than a switching issue.
Its clear by the CPU-Z info that the AMD GPU is indeed functioning and the Intel HD3000 IGP is inactive.

Bipin, disable the Intel HD3000 in Device Manager and then try running Angry Birds Rio under high performance.

I don't have much idea about how this whole graphics "switching" works but what if you guys revert to an AMD only setup ? By completely getting rid of the Intel IGP and graphics switching ? Did anyone try that ? Remove all the Intel HD 3000 Graphics drivers and then disable it and remove the Graphics switching software and only install AMD Catalyst basic drivers.

graphic switching works more like this, the driver is mix, if you disable intel, than the AMD would be disable too...

@ bipin could you try angry bird rio and give us the AMD's GPU-Z screen shot of sensor ?

    mine is not working..
