    Hello,

    I can't seem to find a definitive answer to the question in the title of the thread.

    Everywhere I read online seems to state that 8GB is the maximum amount of RAM for the 2011 SA series. This is the amount I currently have installed, but I'm a developer and keep hitting the upper limit. If a 8GB SODIMM will work (on top of the onboard 4GB RAM), which is the correct one I should be looking at?

    Yes, it supports up to 12GB. Onboard RAM supports 1333MHz, so you should get any DDR3 1333MHz or higher speed for the best.
