Evoss-X, because in this model (170Y/Q,) the build in TV tuner is "analog" NTSC. The "digital" ATSC TV Tuner is USB external. This can be check here http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=VGNAW170YQ, specs area and then download marketing specifications. I have to add that my Vaio 170Y/Q is from USA.

-
And here is Realtek Audio

i already download it before from Realtek website
-
Im thinking about going with Vista Ultimate on my AW-160J.. With 2.53mhz and 4 gigs of RAM do you guys think I should be ok to run Vista Ultimate... If so what are you guys Vista Experience.. Mine is currently at a 5.4
-
If I just install my OS and the VAIO update center will installing the new drivers work or no..
-
Vista Ultimate is great on the AW. Just follow the instructions on the first page and you'll be fine.
Gordon -
What about Adobe Lightroom.. Can I redownload that from Adobe and just enter in the serial given or can I extract it from the recovery disk...
-
If you are on 5.4 you will not go further .. I managed 5.5 but when I changed nvidia driver it went down to 5.3 or 5.4
Graphic card will not let you ..
this is crap that vista experience result is not indenpendent .. will give you lowest score of component .. sho!uld be max score as well ,..! -
Have you tried using the force Nvidia driver thats on one of these pages to see what kind of preformance you get..
-
I didnt touch it yet ...(performance)
I would rather download some program to detect how far I can overclock gpu -
Overclocking the GPU is that possible in laptops
-
I know its probably lame but I would also like to keep the vaio software that came with my laptop anyway on doing that.. I have apps like VAIO Media Plus, VAIO MusicBox, VAIO Movie Plus..
-
dlownload nvidia_system_tools ... look
-
you can do that. Make back up copies and the follow the easy guides posted throughout. We can help you I am certain of it.
Otherwise, perhaps there is someone who has an RGB profile you can try and load to see if it improves your screen. I can assure you, done right its one of the best out there -
You can extract all the apps from the recovery discs. There are lots of guides showing how to extract them. I could upload my applications but I think they are region specific.
When I have time next week I could upload them all. -
Sweet!!! You guys all have been good so free rep for everybody..
-
Ok you gotta tell me the cons and pros of doing this..
-
Whats da deal on getting Lightroom of the recovery disk...
-
I never moved with that..
Hey guys check this website out it's free soft's and utilities ...
http://www.filehippo.com -
OK thanks to everybody who helped. I was able to reinstall my laptop with Vista Ultimate and I have everything installed but these programs above and Adobe Lightroom.. So can someone PLEASE help..
-
Hey bro where is this program app..
-
Im also missing that dolby sound app as well. Im starting to regret doing a clean install of Vista I think I should had done an upgrade so i can keep my apps
-
I also tried to update the nvidia driver to i think 185.1 or something along that line. I saw it on there website it was a May 2009 update and the only thing I can update was the audio. Not to get off subject or anything but will I also need to download DirectX10 or something like that. I know my question might or even do seem stupid but keep in mind that Im coming from a MAC OS: Leopard.
-
You don't need to extract Lightroom from the recovery discs. You just need the installation guide which has the required serial number on page 2. Then download LR from Adobe and install.
Gordon -
Where is this at?
-
In the factory install just look in the windows start menu for the Lightroom installation guide. It's a pdf file. I have no idea where it would be located on the recovery discs.
Gordon -
Oh ok no good for me then since Ive already reinstalled a clean verison of Vista.
-
Anybody nVidia graphic software driver info showing 2.88 gigs... I went to uninstall AIM and I saw this
-

Bump for VAIO Media Plus, VAIO MusicBox, VAIO Movie Plus..
-
Added the VAIO apps you requested to post #1
The recovery discs with my UK VAIO don't have Adobe Lightroom though.
Do you need the BD and DVD Menu apps? I think they are part of VAIO Movie Story. -
Thank you very much! It`s super. I need the BD and DVD Menu apps. Do you have CLICK TO DISC and CLICK TO DISC EDITOR?
Sorry for my English. -
Yes, I'll add these later, in about 12 hrs.
-
I know this might be asking for too much but what the heck... I was wondering if you can upload the Dolby Control Center.. It seems like once I upgraded from Vista Home or whatever the stock OS is to Vista Ultimate it dont work. There's a link to laptop2video and I tried that download of Dolby Center and it didnt work.. Other than that the only app I see I might need is for the Motion Eye and Color Correct.. The color correct on sony website gives me an error message saying its not for 32bit operating systen yet its on there site as 64bit..
-
Also is it me but the software for the VAIO Launcher have some sort of Chinese writing for the tabs.. I was just wondering if that was me..
-
I've just installed the version included in the first port and it work OK for me. i.e. I get English text throughout.
