Awesome Rebate on Sony VAIO Z / SR / BZ Series

Will the $100 be honored if i purchased the laptop through CDW? thank you.

 

Just got an email today from the rebate center. It said that my claim was valid and being processed. I opted for the mobility bundle. I now have a claim tracking number. It said that my postmark was 9/9 and recieved date was 9/23.

I might add that I bought my SR490 from SonyStyle on-line and used the student discount.

My battery, travel charger and case are all on sale on fleabay now.

I might me selling my SR soon.

 

If you've read through this thread a few pages back, you'll know about my true horror story. Anyway, I've learned to just give up & move on since the free goodies are not coming my way no matter what I do.

 

SPEEDwithJJ - I went back and read some of your posts. I didn't realize you had all those problems and ended up with no rebate bundle. My heart goes out to you man. You have been so supportive for those of us who were also trying to get the rebate. I for one, appreciate that.

When I started shopping (obsessing) over a Sony VAIO, I was only vaguely aware that this offer was available at one time. After I settled on the SR490CTO and ordered it, I found this thread. The possibility of getting one of these bundles was icing on the cake for me. My SR is the nicest computer I have ever owned. I would have been happy with it even without the bundle offer. I know this has soured the "deal" for you but I hope you can somehow still enjoy your purchase as I am. For me, it does feel special to have a VAIO instead of the big heavy Dell I used to have.

 

My sis IM'd me and said that she received my Mobility bundle Yaay!

Unfortunately my VAIO shows Blue screen error sometimes.

Sadly, I'm thinking about sending my Vaio back to USA because It shows Blue screen when it wakes up.

Received this letter from Sony today August 10
Received my package October 30.

 

I bought 2 SR220s back in May/June and chose 1 mobility bundle and 1 productivity bundle. They both arrived on the same day last week. What a great treat from Sony!

I think I'll be able to make good use of the carrying case, extra battery, and extra ac adapters (keep one at work, one at home, and one for travel). I don't think I'll be able to make use of the docking station or the bluetooth mouse, though (if anyone is interested in buying them from me, please PM me your offer).

I would've been interested if the docking station is for the Vaio Z notebook.

 

Got my docking bundle. Would've been nice if they had shoved an extra HDMI slot in it (cables from the side of laptop = ugly) and made the dock a little bit heavier. The extra AC adapter is nifty, but the 10cm length of cable is 100% unsuitable for travel unless you like to dangle the brick.

Got my Mobility bundle Yesterday. Sent materials in 9/8. Received bundle 10/8. Not bad turnaround.

 

I sent my request for the mobility bundle on September 9. Sony acknowledged reception of my request on September 24.
I received the Mobility Bundle yesterday October 8.
Thank you Sony. I appreciated it very much.
Nothing is better than a satisfied Customer.
